  • SW - 222 34 weeks - 239 17 pound gain so far. I was up to 22 pounds after the holidays, but that has dwindled down. I'm still trying to eat well and exercise, though Im totally going to taco bell after work for 2 tacos. :)
  • It could also be they are just saying that. When people ask me how I'm feeling, I always say I'm doing great. Really, I have backaches, heartburn, fatigue, and have my down in the dumps days too. But I figure people dont really want to hear about it, and for the most part it's pretty minor so I don't complain. Just a…
  • I made the mistake of dieting immediately after giving birth with my first, and I had supply issues bigtime. I wish I would have known about waiting 6-8 weeks, and will make sure I look to this next time around. I plan on keeping my calories around 2000.
  • 31 weeks and at 15 pounds. My max set by the midwife was 10 to 20 pounds. I am hoping not to go over the 20 pounds, but Ill be happy with 22 pd gain. I gained 70 with my first so this is a win for me. This is the sexiest and strongest Ive felt ever. Doing walking, biking, and prenatal pilates has been awesome at…
  • I'm 28 weeks and I do a prenatal barre pilates workout 2-3 times a week, bike on the stationary bike 3 times a week, and am now trying to walk on the treadmill over my lunch break for 20 minutes 2 times a week. The pilates has a cardio sculpt section, but more so it's amazing what the toning has done for me. I look better…
  • IMO, skinny runner legs are not my thing. I'm also not attracted to men with boobs, whether they are well formed pectoral muscles, or just fat. I'm not in to the visible muscles either, unless they are in the quads and forearms (then that is totally hot). So skinny is not my thing, and neither is husky to the point of…
  • I'm due February 27th, and have a 7 pound weight gain so far. It seems to go from 6-8 pounds depending on how much water I drink. What workout dvd are you using? Is it challenging? I'm having a hard time finding a challenging one.
  • 5'10" and 222 pre pregnancy 18 weeks: 229 7 pound gain. I'm not super happy about it, but really have myself to blame. Not drinking enough water, and not working out. Though it's not great, last pregnancy at this time I was up 25 pounds.
  • I am due February 27th, but was over last time and figure this will be a March baby! :)
  • I gained 70 !!! lbs with my first, so I can relate to you. This time around I am 17 weeks and have gained 6 pounds. It's still on the high end for what I should gain at this point though. What I've been doing is FORCING myself to exercise. Also, when I want to binge on some bad food I just try to remember how I felt when I…
  • 5'10 pre pregnancy 222. 12 weeks along Currently? 226 though I've been at 224. Only reason I'm at 226 is because of sodium from yesterday. It always goes back down to 224. I'm a daily weigher. I gotta keep up the exercising and not be consuming so many carbs.
  • My advice? Exercise anyways. I got a pinched nerve in my back and hadn't exercised for 2 weeks and was feeling EXACTLY how you felt. Like everyday is a struggle to get to be able to go back to bed. I worked out on Saturday and had so much more energy afterwards! I got so much done on Saturday. I cleaned, cooked some…
  • I asked my male best friend and my husband about this. My best friend says he does not like muscular on women, period. Though he doesn't like flabby legs either. So slender legs? My husband believes women are meant to be soft and that is what he is attracted to.
  • Will definitely update this post after my race. I've done 5 brick workouts but haven't worked on transitions. Thank you for the advice on that, I went on youtube and found a few vids that were uber helpful.
  • Jealous you have a beach to run on! That sounds amazing! (i live in central illinois)
  • Okay I am glad to know this. THANK YOU! it makes me feel better :)
  • I'm going off what endomondo with the GPS turned on says I am going. Thank you for the advice! I am going to run today, then bike tomorrow.
  • Just to finish and not be last
  • Definitely bring the nursing pillow (and make sure yours is good). to nurse my daughter who was 9.5 pounds, I had to stick pillow after pillow on top to be able to nurse her. Also, my nursing pillow sucked so I recommend a nice one because it helps tremendously with back/neck strain. Stuff I wish I brought... Comfy pants…
  • 5'10 prepregnancy weight: 222 7 weeks along currently and weight is right at 222. Trying to eat healthy and exercise!
  • Sorry you have PCOS, that certainly makes it tougher. When I was pregnant the first time around, I'll tell you that carbs killed me in the weight gain. This time around, its fresh fruits like blueberries and strawberries , with a focus on protein intake.
  • I'd clear it with your physician first. I am doing the 30 day shred now, but I have been doing it since before I was pregnant and am continuing through it (7 weeks along). I think you are supposed to avoid lying on your back in the 2nd and 3rd trimester due to blood flow, so for the back exercises you can easily do those…
  • I am only 6 weeks, and am running, biking, and doing 30 day shred 1-2 times a week. My lower body is so strong, but my upper body is weak so Jillian is hookin me up! :) I am eating a LOT of protein and drinking almost a gallon of water a day. My workouts arent as good as pre pregnancy, like the other day I had to stop…
  • Advice that will make you want to punch me in the throat... Exercise anyways. I will come home from work, play with my toddler and want to just lay on the couch and go to sleep. I am insanely tired. But, I force myself to exercise and I am always glad I do. I get so much energy from working out, and feel so much better!
  • I have been feeling the SAME WAY! It's like a switch goes off and its painful how hungry I feel. BUT what I have found is that if I don't drink enough water (OB said to drink a GALLON a day), then my stomach feels hungry when really I am just thirsty. So before I go reaching for foods, I down a bunch of water and if I am…
  • Its ok! The only way you failed is if you never got off the couch to do it! And I run 4-5 miles and bike and I did it the other day and I was struggling too!
  • 27 years old, and 5 weeks pregnant here! Gained over 60 pounds the first time, want to avoid that this time!
