Congratulations! Being stronger and more fit certainly helps when you're running. I would encourage you to continue to work the 30 DS and Insanity workouts in so you don't lose the strength you've gained. You can do it! Have a ball! (Plus it's a great way for a momma to take a bit of a break!)

You've got lots of good advice so I won't elaborate on that further... I started getting running blisters, switched to "feetures" running socks and haven't had one since! Best wishes. Those blisters aren't any fun to run with for sure!

You know your body. If you legitimately can't do it, run/walk and build up to that distance. If it is a mental block, set mini goals... Tell yourself, I'll just do 60 more seconds and see how I feel. Then at the end of that time, set a new mini goal. Make it fun. Listen to some upbeat tunes, and take it easy. Eventually…

2/28- 6 miles. 2.5 hard, evil, painful miles, then things finally felt normal again. i guess it just took awhile to warm up. either that or maybe i was just tired from the previous 2-3 hours i spent building a snow fort with my munchkins! wow... despite a rough start i did make my goal... and then some. nice!…

one thing to consider... all calories are not created equal. 1700 calories a day of junk is not the same as getting 1700 calories from lean meats, fresh produce, and legumes. cutting out the processed foods would certainly help if you eat any at all. i would also caution you not to be obsessed with a number, but to…

I probably weighed 100 pounds on my wedding day. Hubby was probably 165. Today I'm in far batter shape, but I've added 20 pounds. It isn't a bad thing, just an age/body difference, I am very comfortable in my body. Yes, that 100 pounds sounds appealing to me, but I would much rather be fit. I could starve myself and stop…

What a beautiful tribute to your dad! I think you should take what you wrote to the hospital and read it to him. I'm sorry you're going through so much right. now. It hurts to see our loved ones suffer. My heart goes out to you.

thanks so much! my wonderful husband tore the treadmill apart and tightened the drive belt from the motor mount. it is back to working like a champ! (and i didn't even have to pay a $100 service fee! yeah!)

2/2/13- i got 3 miles done before my treadmill revolted and broke down. i guess i ran it to death! (hopefully it's just a drive belt... it feels like the running belt stops moving whenever i step on. argh!)
