8/31- 4 miles. I'm way short of my goal, but after a broken toe and a nasty chest cold, I'm lucky to log this many miles for the month. If I hadn't missed two long runs, I would have been over goal, but.... Hopefully next month will be FAR better! My Marathon is mid October, so I want to be sure to get in some quality…

8/18- 6.2 miles That brings my current monthly total to 30 miles. I think I'm going to have to bump my goal down to 80 miles this month. I missed nearly a whole week of running including a 20 mile long run at the beginning of the month due to a broken toe. (pansy, i know... )

Yeah, I'm still on here!!! Now, to figure out my mileage.... will post later.... :flowerforyou:

I am wondering if I'm just super picky or what? I don't find that man attractive in the least. Anyone else, or am I all alone on this one? Oh, and we'll need a pic of the suit you choose! :-) Also, I'd have to say that a good impression is generally more about the way you carry yourself and how you treat others than how…

I don't really have any great advice to offer you, but my husband owns about 8 suits for business. My absolute favorite is a 3 piece, light to medium grey color with a light purple lining (and light purple on the back of the vest.) It sounds a bit girly, but it is dead sexy! Black works too.

I agree that your body need to get used to the extra pounding outside. Another thing to think about is the heat... If you are running in hot weather, take some water with you. I've read that you should slow down about 30 seconds per mile for each 5 degrees above 60, so if you're running in 80 degree weather, you should…

6/30- 8.39 miles not even close to goal, but i've been working hard in other areas... it's back on for july!
-
6/28- 4.05 miles way off of my goal this month :embarassed: , but ready to kick july's butt! :drinker: cooriander, i am so sorry to hear about your mother. i knew there must have been something major going on in your life. i think about you losing both your father and your mother in the same year and my heart goes out to…

Pete- This is an ongoing monthly group. Our fearless and ever so sweet leader Cooriander has had a lot going on in her life and is usually great at keeping up with us all, so I'm hoping she's okay. If you want in for the month of July, you can go ahead and post your goal here.

6/25- 4.2 miles... where did everyone go? it's liike a ghost town here this month... did i miss a major news announcement? not going to make goal this month, but i think i'm finally on the road to recovery. thank goodness! i have a marathon to train for!
-
6/24- 3.7 miles I don't think I've been very good at keeping track this month... :-(
-
6/18- well, after more craziness, i'll be lucky to hit 50 miles this month.... sigh... i got 3.5 miles in for today and i'm hoping to finally be back in my routine. i ran all summer last year, but for some reason the heat has completely taken my by surprise this year.

I didn't see a June thread yet, so I hope I'm posting this in the right location.... 6/13- 13 miles Apparently this is the first time I've run this month! We've been working like beasts on this house and I haven't taken the time to lace up. I'm not going to hit 100 for sure, but I think 60 is a decent target this month.
-
5/31- 3.1 miles I did it! Wahoo!
-
5/30- 4.22 miles tonight i'm so close to 100... i suppose that'll be great motivation to run tomorrow!
-
Congrats Cooriander! I wasn't going to run tonight, but you've inspired me!
-
5/29- 5.34 miles... and that's goal, but i'd sure like to break 100 this month! i have two more days. that's doable.

Another thing to remember is this: running faster is not necessarily better. It's good to build a solid running foundation first, then worry about speed. I wouldn't have believed this when I first started running, but it is VERY true. When I ran fast all the time, I was often injured, especially with knee pain. Once I…
