I live in PA too (Pgh area) and we also shop on a budget for myself, hubby and toddler. My husband has no desire to eat on a diet (nor does he need one). It takes a bit of creativity but I try to find meals/recipes he will enjoy and I can fit into my daily goals. Try websites like skinnytaste.com and dashingdish.com. Also,…

Such great ideas here! I think I'll try the recipe but with this spice mix and the Greek yogurt next week. Sounds like a great recipe even my hubby and son would enjoy! Thanks for the original recipe and the suggested variations.

Great post! Thanks!

WOW!! Really?? I read this a couple of times thinking I missed something. I was thinking "where is this lady from...hell?" But I see (According to your profile) you're actually very close to me. I know people who don't want kids but I've never heard anyone talk about children like that before. It's shocking. But...at least…

The longer you do it the easier it gets. On a daily basis I usually build my day around dinner. This makes it easier to keep my husband and son happy and stay within my goals as well. I don't always have the entire week planned out so in that case I have breakfast then if I haven't already planned dinner I figure that out.…

Yes, yes! Pgh here!

Try checking out Dashing Dish. Yes, cottage cheese sounds weird, but it gives the shakes a nice, thick consistency and you can't taste it. Just be sure to blend it long enough to smooth it out. There are more recipes throughout the site. Experiment with some of these.…

I'm 5'2"!!! I would love to weigh around 120-130 when I'm done but I've never weighed that as an adult (or teen probably), so I'll reassess as I go...

Monistat Soothing Care Chafing Relief Gel Powder works really well. You only need a tiny bit.

Usually over pasta or spread on a sandwich or crackers. As a substitute for other cheeses in recipes when you want to keep cals/fat down. Mix it in potatoes or mashed couliflower. Last night I stuffed chicken breast with a mixture of sauteed garlic, onion, spinach and a light garlic and herb wedge and baked it. YUM!

Great job so far!

I usually have mine plain or with fruit. As for something different I also tried this and it was really good! Its portabello mushrooms filled with cottage cheese and parmesean and broiled. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/383015-portabello-mushrooms?hl=cottage+cheese+portabello#posts-5238970

I drive a 2011 Ford Fusion SEL and I love it!! It's suprisingly sporty, fun and has great options for the price. I have a convertible car seat for my two year old in the back and plenty of space left next to it. It gets good gas mileage. It's bright blue with V6, sunroof, black heated leather with white stiching, cd…

LOL ^^^This! But as far as cooking methods go I have seen people bake it on a pan with a rack so the grease drips below as you cook it. Editing to add, based on your OP, I would not record different NI based on cooking it this way. I wouldn't know how to and i don't know or think that it would make a significant…

Ooohhh this all sounds great! Going to try this soon! I always make rice in my rice cooker with water and season it after but I'm gonna try making it like this with the broth in the cooker. Thanks! YUM!

Here are a few I've made recently: Artichoke crusted chicken-even this doesn't take too long. You can sub light (or fat-free or whatever you prefer) mayo or greek yogurt here. http://www.myproperbinge.com/artichoke-chicken/ Skinnytaste easy garden tomato sauce-this would be great over pasta and chicken (I used shrimp)…

I love, love, love Zumba!! It's a great workout and tons of fun. Don't worry about being on the right foot or doing the moves perfectly. Just keep moving, feel the music and the burn. Hope you enjoy!!

That is awesome!! Love the 'stang and congrats on the weight loss!!! Took mine after a haircut last April when I spontaneously decided to get it shorter than usual. Guess it's time for a new one.

Yes it is. Take a test and call your doc.

This is pretty much what I was going to say. I also have a 2 year old. My husband does help out, especially on the weekends when he is off. But he is gone all day during the week until at least 8pm. I take advantage of my son's nap time when I can, but I often find myself running around picking up after him, doing dishes,…
