Have you had your thyroid hormones tested? I'm not just talking TSH. I mean, do you know your free T3 and free T4 levels? Also, have they evaluated you for edema? (FYI, my pit doesn't wanna seem to produce TSH anymore. This kept me from getting a hypothyroid diagnosis even when my fT4 was below normal for about 7 years.…

Even with thyroid crap, I swear lifting weights (including some NROLFW, as a matter of fact) has increased my metabolism. I can eat more now than I used to without packing on a ton of weight.
-
With all due respect, they are often the LAST people you want taking care of hypo. I've had a LOT of luck with my very well educated PCP.

Educate yourself. http://stopthethyroidmadness.com http://about.thyroid.com "Normal" for some random people in the population does NOT mean "normal" or even healthy for you.

Deadlift

Lift heavy.

He he he... I was beginning to think we were the only ones! I think it takes practice.

^^^ This.

Obviously, the weight just wasn't heavy enough. Duh!

Check out the water bottles on http://www.flylady.net. I'm dead serious.

Yeah... I'm thinking if it's that hard, you either have a serious medical issue (and I do... it's possible) OR yer doin' it wrong. Exercise is very important, but if you hurt / kill yourself it's doing you no good. Perhaps ease up just a bit. When it stops being challenging, then ramp up a little. *pat pat*

I  fat guys.

Canning lends itself better to acidic foods. I agree with the freezing suggestion.

Why machines? Why not free weights? Just curious.
-
Come on. Aren't those the best kind?

I try to hit the weight room 2x a week and I work with a trainer once a week. Weights weights weights. It's more important than ever once you hit your 30s.
-
Perhaps eating your exercise calories would be a good idea.
-
No, actually, it sounds like you need a new husband. Sorry.
-
Oh, I get it! Being Rick Rolled makes you sick to your stomach and you don't wanna eat. Genius! :smokin:
-
I'd say you need to bulk. 150 at 6' is awful thin, hon.

Barbell sqats, deads, cleans...

I hated it. You CANNOT get rid of commercials. HATE HATE HATE.

Access denied at work because there's skin. Crap.

NROLW is a good program. I decided it wasn't right for me because it got a little too fussy and time-consuming. Even though I've been lifting a while, I'm going to begin a Starting Strength program in the next few days. It looks so much simpler.

Black and white perfectionist thinking. You have to get a handle on it and say to yourself that it doesn't have to be perfect, it just has to work for you.

 OMG, that sounds fantastic. I think I'd try homemade mac 'n cheese. My mate eats the stuff out of the blue box. Dunno how he does it. Kudos for some awesome sounding culinary bravery. :flowerforyou:
