Due to the walking your body is most likely retaining water. When I first began walking, I would wake up in the middle night with horrible shin splints. You need to do some stretches first before oyu start walking. Make you sure oyu are drinking water before, during and after your walk to keep the muscle hydrated. Try to…

The Biggest Loser is great...but they have trainers, are in a controlled enviroment and do nothing else but work out. Can you do it? Sure. But if you don't lose that much every month how will you feel? Will it be a let down? Will that make you frustrated and have you eating? Setting more realistic goals for yourself may be…

Hi Everyone, I'm Dawn, married, mom of two and a Jersey Girl (USA). I just turned 43 and am taking control of my life... making myself a priority. I had lost about 50 lbs with weight watchers but couldn't keep up with the meetings. After three years, the weight crept back up. I know what I have to do and I will be doin…

There are 6 people in my house and I am the only one that is trying to lose weight. I cook regular meals but add more veggies and a salad. I have learned to to use "light" products and they don't know the difference. I have also started to substitute beans and lentils in recipes. ie: taco night, I use lentils and ground…

Hi everyone, My name is Dawn. My highest weight was 366 when I joined Weight Watchers Back in '07. I lost a little over 50lbs but I couldn't keep up with the meetings and was dealing with sabotagers in my family. I managed to maintain my weight between 310-320 for three years (off and on using MFP and Sparkpeople). I began…

I went way over last night as well. However, you have to be able to have some fun/downtime one in awhile. One night will not ruin the progress you have made. Drink plenty of water and get your exercise in. Don't worry about it :)

There are 6 of us in my house... my in-laws, my hubby and I, and my two tween girls. I completely understand where you are coming from. I cook regular meals, protein, starch and veggies. I now make sure there are extra veggies and a salad. I no longer fry foods and have managed to "trick" my family on many occassions. They…

Feel free to add me. I understand how it can be, with the lack of support at home. 6 people in my house and none of them are much help to me! You need to understand that this is your life and only you can control it. You are doing great!!!!

Feel free to add me (that goes for anyone) the more support and encouragement we have, the better we will do! :) I have 100 lbs to lose and I know it's going to be a long journey!
