Two times before last was the first time I EVER actively tried to lose weight. I was married in 1995 and within a year put on probably close to 50 lbs. There were a LOT of stressful things going on during that first year of marriage which culminated in my mother-in-law dying two weeks after our one year anniversary. I…

Okay, ladies!! SO, who has moved on to level 3??? This was my second day in level three and my thighs are killing me with some of those moves. I'm a little disappointed we aren't doing much in the way of strengthening the triceps muscles and to be honest, some of the moves don't seem like level 3...more like level one,…

Shamrock, hope you DON'T have the flu and are feeling better soon!! :flowerforyou: Well, I finished up level 2 last night and today I will begin level 3!! I watched the workout on Monday and I'm excited to give it a try. I have the opportunity to show off my sleeker body this weekend at a picnic and I'm excited…

Day 18 is done! I weighted myself today and found that I have lost 2.5 lbs since I started the 30 Day Shred! WOO HOO!! :blushing: Just wondering, since I cannot find the post anymore, does anyone have the link to the workouts from Vimeo (or something like that)??? Thanks in advance if you do! Have to get…

Delighted to have you on board! Welcome!! :flowerforyou: I have a yoga mat and another mat that is sold to be placed under exercise equipment which gives me some EXTRA cushioning while doing the workouts on the basement floor. I will have to try doing the leap frog jumps tomorrow on the yoga mat. Surprisingly my walking…

Thanks, CricketKate! Just weighted in this morning and I'm down 2.5 lbs from my last weigh in, which was the day I started the shred. It would be nice to lose another 2.5 lbs to finish it out. I really didn't expect to lose anything, so I'm happy about this!

Sorry ladies that I haven't written recently. Been more active on the site and then could not find the thread. So, I have finished day 17 of the 30 days and that was 10 days in Level 1 and now 7 days in Level 2. Got my "visitor" as my best friend likes to call it and really thought about "phoning it in" the past two days…

Sounds interesting. I may give it a try. I was going to try C25K but I can already do a lot of that without starting from scratch and I didn't want to feel like I was being held back.

If I DO gain it is only about 1 pound. I never have really gained any before, during or right after but do feel bloated at times.

I'm not from Canada but will be here to support. I'll send a request! :flowerforyou:

Name is Suzanne and have always hated being called Suzy (go figure) and ever since a little kid wanted to decorate my kitchen in strawberries, so when I started using emails I just went with StrawberrySuzyQ and have kept it ever since. My one sister and her daughter are the only ones who get away with calling me Suzy-Q ...…

I experience this after working out but only if I stay in my workout clothes for more than 15-20 minutes after the workout. If I change into some clean, dry clothes within 10 minutes of working out I don't feel the cold quite as much. I work out in the basement which is considerably cooler than my second story bedroom and…

My 8 year old nephew will be crushed! All he has wanted to do from the moment he started school and they practiced their letters was to write in cursive! He even had his own form of cursive that he would write in! But I have heard the same thing.
-
When taking notes I will normally use cursive because of the "new" shorthand that was taught in school. If I'm writing a thank you note or a real letter to a friend or other adult I normally write in cursive, but other than that I tend to do a lot of printing and even find I do quite a bit of half print/half cursive. My…

Congratulations! You are looking great and I'll bet you are feeling amazing! Keep up the marvelous work! :drinker:

I have two, a regular one and an ultra. Still trying to figure out how to REALLY make it pair with MFP, so if you have any advice I'm willing to listen!! Thanks!

Congratulations!! Wished I had taken pics like that of my husband when he lost all his weight. He went from 640 lbs to 285 in four years after having doctor recommended gastric bypass surgery. :drinker:

People don't believe it but this does happen! My husband had always been overweight except maybe his senior year in high school. I was always embarrassed for him when we would go out because he had picked up weight steadily from the day we got married. He was 350 when we married and 9 years later he was at his highest at…

I'm not from NC but I am on here everyday. I do suffer from depression but have never had to be medicated for it and am hoping that keeping active physically will aid me in that goal. Feel free to add me, just mention your post in the message area so I remember to accept.

I just wanted to say: Good for you! When I made up my mind to lose weight I had not only my mom but even my best friend ask my why. (Husband and I are split up and have had thoughts of asking him if he would like to give it another try since the divorce he claimed he was going to file two years ago has not materialized…

My father passed away three years ago this past Thursday and at that point I moved 800+ miles "back home" to live with my mom. I know I suffer from depression and the traumatic circumstances of losing my father and my husband being completely unsupportive and refusing to move, meaning then that we were separating, just…

Just get back on board and if it means starting over, start over and do it for YOU! :flowerforyou: The first day of doing Level 2 with my work shoes was great but for some reason the second day I was sliding. I had to take it down a notch and not do the leap frog plans or jumping jack planks so I didn't go sliding, but I…

I started MFP the end of July 2011. In August took my mom to PA to visit family and had a hard time tracking so we did Subway quite a few times throughout the two weeks we were there. Even though I couldn't track as well because of lack of Internet everyday and it was too hard from my phone, I ended up losing weight, and…

Yeah, just jump on in! But don't start on a Tuesday (I read recently that you are less likely to stick with a workout or eating plan if you begin on a Tuesday....I don't remember the reasoning why). We'll be here to support you through it and do the beginner push-ups the best you can. Even when I got to day 10 of Level 1 I…

LOL I LOVE the punches and that is a good idea! I actually like the 3rd circuit cardio, too but probably because I have built up strength and stamina to do all four of them. In fact, now that I'm in Level 2 I actually miss some of the cardio from Level 1. Keep up the great work! I'm seeing tons of results in my clothes…

Sorry if I have missed a day or two of checking in....I am currently on day 3 of level 2 (day 13). I LOVE level 2 but it really pushes me! I am definitely stronger than when I started on May 25th and even though I have not checked my measurement, I have moved to the next hole in my belt and my favorite pair of work pants…

I totally agree! You have to provide the motivation, but that doesn't mean you can't have cheerleaders along the way. Think about what it is that you really want to do: have a healthy BMI, be at a healthy weight for your height, get into that cute new swimsuit, wear that sexy black dress, have the energy to run around with…

Yup! Exactly this! My scale has been at the same spot for nearly a month now but I'm getting into clothes I bought about 5 years ago that I have never worn since I am losing inches like crazy. Once you start evening things out you will see the scale move again. As long as you notice a difference in your body size and how…

Well, I will have to wait until Friday to participate as I realized I am unable to run for two days in a row without putting too much stress on my knees. As I use Thursdays as my "break" day and am only doing my 30 DS right now on Thursdays, I will have to wait until Friday to run. I'm thinking about trying to run the 3…

I log it as circuit training and time it, too. I don't have a HRM and I'm waiting on my Fitbit Ultra to help me determine the actual calories burned....or as actual as I can get with a Fitbit.
