Yeah....behind every joke is a slight truth.

Absolultely don't go into a dark place and don't sit still after the first couple of weeks! My husband has arthoscopic surgery in both left and right shoulders (one in '05 one in '10) and he is okay, still struggles with long work outs but he is okay and could definately walk (exercize) and do a stationary bike not tooooo…

"Best" friends...no. Passing friendly aquaintances that pretend they are still friends...maybe.

^^ This...my husband had a small business with 3 employees before he met me which he closed. When he was laid off (after we were together) we oppened it for literally 2-3 months for some contracts we had found, but switched to a large corporate job the second we could because it just wans't worth the A) Health insurance…

I have an FT40, don't know much about the FT7....but I LOVE my FT40 a bunch :) So easy to use and I lost more once I had an accurate count...that being said my only count before was what MFP told me I burned (which especially for hiking was up to 2X too much.)

I see this post was 2 weeks ago, Phoenix today was great :) I actually felt "chilly" on my walk tonite.... And my answer is I'd rather be in my hubby's arms.

Ohhh this one is awesome because there is nothing 'technically' dressed up about it in case anyone else throws a fit haha

The student at Hogwarts idea is cute.

Well it isn't ideal...hopefully he'll change careers over the next couple of years? I will say we haven't had a holiday trip to family or vacation where the phone and lap top and work calls were not involved, often at very inconvienient times. I think you should have either a back up plan or something set up that can occur…

My wii fit scale is pretty in line with the doctors scale. I weigh nude at home (not at the doctors) so MAYBE the wii scale at home thinks im a lb heavier. I have a tile floor and you need to make sure to replace the batteries fairly regularly, I got home after 3 months gone and before/after bat replacement was about 5 lb…

I was a B teanager/young adult, got to a C with weight gain, lost 60 lbs and wear an A, sometimessss B depending on the brand but mostly A.

I highly reccomend a specialty store the first time, after that you kind of know what to look for. The nice thing about the specialty stores is they told me to try it for a run or two and come back if I didn't like them for an exchange. Usually they let you run around inside or outside their store as well...but just in…

Hehe I LOVE zumba to but I'm the opposite. I grew up on the east coast and couldn't stand the cold, snow or humidity in the summer. I'm in Phoenix now and I love it SOOO much that after a summer in Portlands humidity I cried when I got home (to September and 110 degrees). I like it dry and warm :) Anything under 70 degrees…

There are plenty of non us versus them posts that are christian that get deleted. To not treat athiesm as a religious/faith based item with the same rules would definately be favoritism....however, I have seen it happen on MFP before so I wouldn't be shocked.

Ok seriously let this be a lesson to you to never ever ever have kids with a woman you are not 100 percent sure you will spend the rest of your life with - because this is a problem I would normally read about on a custody / stepparenting board :) For support..I'd look there because you have a long miserable road ahead of…

Pretty much - I mean because it would be a bit hypocritical for the mods to always lock posts as simple as 'I am christian and looking for likeminded friends' and not this one. It's doomed. Side note: I just visited the 'south' with my husband over fall break - really nice people but wayyyy too many tempting unhealthy…

. I don't think you're old fashioned at ALL. The stability offered to children in the same stable 2 parent home throughout their childhood is overwhelming, and risks for children of split parents have been studied and quanitified largly. Wanting to know his intention of a lifelong commitment to you and the family he wants…

I had a friend in college that had the same problem...she did 2 years at community college and worked a LOT, took out some loans and got through. I didn't know about the 'become' a ward of the court thing after you're 18. I DO know it is hard to get independent status from the time I spent enrolling people at an online…

Couldn't have said it better, this is a faith question there is no 12 step program to your answer.

I've done it up to 6 days a week at times :) I was fine as long as you don't have knee issues for all the squatting and twisting :)

Me me me I'm going for my birthday (30th!) it's the night before the marathon. Hubby is supposed to run with me too but he just started training after bilateral compartment syndrom surgery (4 incisions) both legs.

I stuck with MFP's guidelines and ate back all to most of my exercize calories and have found its predictions when I hit that whole "complete" entry button to be extremely accurate until I got to 8 lbs from my goal. Now I think I'm building more muscle and things are whacky :) Doing this has allowed me NOT to yoyo but was…
