In reference to cheese shredded....they recently reduced from 8 oz to 7 oz and upped the price. It's not worth your money. Maybe some nonfat cottage cheese would go longer. The other poster is right that you should learn to coupon for a stockpile, even eating healthy you can get a stockpile of free rice, pasta, PB and tuna…

I used to get a bunch of "good jobs" when I was 'under' my goal but my macros we're messed up. I don't get it either.
-
Yay! Absolutely true it is NOT the governments job.
-
You are totally right :) I should have said WHEN you behave for a month or lose X lbs or w/e. :)
-
I do use my hrm only b/c its something...MFP always gives me too much for every other activity so I can't really trust it with strength training either ya know :) Since the values are so low with the HRM if it's off a little I'm not missing out or overeating that much (either direction)

Semi off topic and sad...I opened this post to see what heart rate manager was. Anyways, you have a ton of great advice already :)
-
Yeah if I'm gonna splurge it's not gonna be on either of those....
-
Tell yourself the truth (if it's the truth) that you've made a decision about what's important to you. That YOU are in control not your cravings. Even though many people with lasting results end with a full lifestyle change, everyone splurges a little sometimes, it's just not your time yet. It's not like you'll never ever…

I feel like if you compared my grocery cart now to before you'd be looking at a video from some TV show about American obesity vs. a video about a woman trying to feed 5 teenage boys fruits and veggies (even though I'm only feeding 3 of us and 1 is male I get asked about how many kids I have considering how many…

You guys are crazy for weighing yourself day after ! LOL I would never ever. I'll probably recover this week eat only 1/2 my exercise calories until I make up how far over maintenance I was (600 cal) then weigh in next week. I've tried that before and I usually end up 'even'. This also gives time for your sodium fest to…

I *try* to be a vegetarian who is lifting and eating closeeee to her macros. It's rough. For breakfast I can't have eggs and pb b/c of the fat content. Rarely I'll have PB, but I will do egg whites daily. I also have a protein shake daily. (powder w/ skim milk has lower sodium than if you buy premade, sometimes I'll put…

I have a class I do every other week that is only 1/3 step - and it really is (after only 3 months) making me want to cry of boredom. I do like the weight balance crunch part of the class so I keep going for variety on that spectrum. I think I'd rather run if it were JUST a step class.

Same but that's more a holiday 3-4 times a year thing. Now maintenance days...I do those several times a month.
-
Hmm noo but you may get pimply :)
-
I KNOW isn't it GREAT!!! Just eat the right things :) 1500 calories of cookies is definitely not gonna get it done lol.

Hehe I'm up in Phoenix but I hike 12 months a year :) It's just that in the hot months I wake up around 3 AM to get out by 4 AM and home by 6 or 7 AM (shorter hikes) Occasionally we'll do 1 or 2 hour hikes late in the afternoon, our rule is at or under 105 if we can get some shade from the hills early morning/night.

Ditto - if I don't need the equipment, w/e.
-
I don't know that you'll really kill yourself given the intensity of your cardio...but why all cardio, mix it up some :) (of course the second you do you'll probably want a day off a week) Trust me I want one! (I just don't get to have one)

+++ Me too - esp b/c I listen to Pandora I may even skip a station. Once in a while I will have a 30 second conversation b/c my husband and I always talk right before his weekly flights take off and sometimes that happens to be when I have to be at the gym. Sorry if my having a busy life bugs ya'll :) Or if I'm running…

It can be exhausting you're right - making 2-3 diff meals a day (veg/non veg) 2 different ways makes mass amount of dishes. My food processer is rarely ever not dirty, as when I'm done I use it again. Then of course entering the recipe on MFP (TWICE) once for me and once for hubby. Our health has become my job and I…

Plan. Buy groceries. Eat.

When we had a house we did deduct our property taxes. If you owned the house in 2011/2010 etc I would consider speaking with someone about resubmitting maybe you can get more back.

I don't know, it annoys me too. This weekend I visited my grandma, she saw me and said I shouldn't lose more weight. Then she spent half the weekend asking if I ever stopped eating LMAO I tried to explain but it didn't work out :)
-
If my hubby did that work out he'd probably burn 1500 PLUS a day...but if I did it I'd probably be looking around 700. It's one of those age sex weight and general cardio health / strength things. As for the program, I only did a few days since I wasn't the owner of the set, but I liked it :)

MRM because of it's sodium and protein to calorie ratio. My husband is on a low sodium diet and some of those mixes go up to 250 mg a scoop!!! It also had a better protein to calorie ratio than the more expensive one the guy at Sprouts tried to sell me...even though less protein per scoop, just scoop 1.5 times... 1 scoop…

It costs more but you can find beans and tomatoes canned for recipes athat have 15-30 mg a can as opposed to 500 mg. Also cooking fresh/from scratch helps. Try to avoid cheeses, as they are high in sodium, or juices...limit milk it is high in sodium. Veggies, RAW unsalted nuts, proteins that you spice yourself, fruit. You…

I don't know about the particular HRM, but I trust my HRM more than a machine. My HRM tends to be 20% less than the machine and 30-40% less than MFP (30 y/o female 5/7'' 136 lb) HOWEVER my husbands HRM tends to be about 10-20% MORE than the machine and 30% MORE than MFP. (52 y/o male 6/3'' 220 lb) I think it depends on…

I don't know if this is true but if she's new to her lifestyle change the sugar IS addicting and could send her into a frenzy for days. Not a good idea unless you're well established and disciplined in your overall healthy lifestyle.

Whenever you are tempted think of how damn LONG it would take to work off that cupcake...it is only ever worth it 5% of the time to me. 250 calories appx for what ammounts to 25 seconds of enjoyment??? I would have to work 30-45 minutes for that!!! Is that cupcake worth THAT much of your time? NO you are in control of you,…
