Yep, mine is 3. She gets the 1-2-3 and then gets put in her room with the door closed for a few minutes to "work it out". When she's calm, I open the door and explain why she's in trouble, ask her if she understands, then let her back out with the understanding that if she does it again, it's back to time out. Giving jerks a good old fashioned *kitten* kicking is highly underrated. If that person would've touched me I would've gone ape **** on him. And you're MIL is lucky you didn't come after with your cooking utensil. Life's too short to let awful people hurt us. I'm a big believer in kharma-they'll get theirs!

My child "tooted" loudly the other day and started laughing. Then I started laughing. She says "Mommy my farts make everybody laugh". Too cute!

I haven't dealt with this-mine's still little, but my thoughts are maybe anxiety or a UTI? I agree, check with the pediatrican to rule out a medical issue, then find out if there's anything externally going on that's causing her stress. Poor pumpkin. You are a good mom for trying to help her. You'll figure it out :)
