  • I definitely have days like that. Sometimes I can talk myself into a 20 minute Wii Zumba workout--more fun than my regular workout DVDs, so I'm more likely to do it. And I tell myself, "It's just 20 minutes. I can do that." It's better than nothing, right? And then other times if I'm feeling like that, I'll just skip it…
  • Mom here...I have a 19 month-old. Any of you can feel free to add me! I'm *nearly* back down to pre-preggo weight, but still have more to lose after that.
  • I gained nearly that much with my first, also. I'm not pregnant again yet, but I'm hoping that next time around, I won't do that again. You might want to check out one of these two topics: For people looking for general pregnancy support and not wanting to gain too much:…
  • Hi there! Just wanted to say welcome and good luck to you on both endeavors! You might want to check out this topic: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/305495-fit-for-future-families-august-2011 -- it's a group of ladies who are trying to conceive while getting into (or staying in) shape.
  • Well, I was up 1.2lbs today. I expected a gain. I think some of it may be pre-AF weight gain, but also like I said yesterday, the past several days have been out of the ordinary for me, so I completely expected an increase on the scale today. Goals for last week: Workout 3 x 40 - 45 min - DONE Water 64oz/day - Not…
  • You're right! I have hired someone who was pregnant--it would not keep me from hiring someone who is the right person for the job. Pregnancy/maternity leave is temporary, and a natural part of life, like you said. I hope it does work out for you when the timing is right!
  • kah -- will be thinking of you tomorrow. I'm always one to prepare myself for the worst, hoping that it will make the disappointment easier if at least I can say, "See? I was right." or something like that. But disappointment always sucks. Anyway, best of luck to you. fitterpam -- sorry about the fight with your father. Do…
  • Personally, I will never take "diet pills." When I was a kid, my mom was babysitting two little girls who lived in our neighborhood while their mom was at work. Their mom never came home that day--she died of a heart condition cused by diet pills. S
  • I think that's a very personal choice only you and your husband can make. I'm in the process of trying to lose the rest of my pregnancy weight (plus some) before we start trying again next year. But personally, I'd go ahead and start trying again if I haven't reached my goal by the time we want to start ttc. Both weight…
  • Soooo...today I went to fertilityfriend.com to set up an account. Turns out I already had an account. I have absolutely no memory of creating it, but apparently I did. There is only one day that I recorded info--Dec 28, 2010. Too funny! Anyway, my plan is to start charting, for one thing just to get in the habit of it, but…
  • Same here...I didn't think about it. So make that eight!
  • Nothing wrong with that! When I lived in Thailand, it was very normal to eat chicken and rice in the morning.
  • Emerald cocoa roast almonds 100 calorie packs--my favorite betwee-meal snack. Keeps the hunger away much longer than veggies, and they are so yummy! I have a pack almost every day!
  • LOL someone on my friends list does, but she logs it as "mowing the grass," or something like that! I don't, though.
  • I like eggs...one whole egg and two egg whites, and maybe a small bit of fruit along with it. If I'm on the go and don't have time to fix eggs, I like to drink a protein shake.
  • Congrats on your baby, and good luck to you! I've nursed my baby for 19 months now. I just posted this yesterday in another thread, but you may want to check out www.kellymom.com. It has great info on breastfeeding. Specifically, here is the link to their page about weight loss and lactation:…
  • Love school supplies! I always want to buy some this time of year, even though I'm not in school. LOL.
  • Oh, and if anyone is interested, www.kellymom.com is a very helpful site with lots of breastfeeding info. Tips on weight loss while breastfeeding (from the kellymom site): http://www.kellymom.com/nutrition/mom/mom-weightloss.html#tips Also check out www.llli.org (La Leche League).
  • Agree! And lots & lots of water. I also had a recipe for "lactation cookies," which included oatmeal, of course, and brewer's yeast (also great for milk supply & has B vitamins in it). Not so great for the diet, but great for the milk. Until 12 months, babies will get pretty much all of their nutrition from milk/formula…
  • Me too. Ugh. I can do it just fine at work, but I always try to get my husband to make all other calls for me, if he will--even with family. I feel like it is an irrational fear, but I can't help it. Wedding planning was the worst, because I did most of it myself, and had to make tons of calls. But I did it!
  • Oh, I'm terrible at that! But cupcakes of any kind sound lovely! :) Best of luck with your business!

And good luck to you!! 9Honey16 - so sorry! :flowerforyou: Good luck with your charting and also exercising this week! pixieofdoom - so sorry to you, too! :( Hope you are feeling better soon.…
  • I've tried to like it. I've tried three differet brands, with no luck. But I don't like regular yogurt either. I only like yoplait whips. I was hoping to really get into Greek yogurt. Maybe I'll try again someday. Guess I'm no help to you! LOL!
  • LOL...me too! Some of my normal night time snacks are yogurt (Yoplait Whips - strawberry), almonds (Emerald cocoa roast 100 calorie packs), rice cakes with laughing cow cheese or peanut butter, hummus with some kind of chips/crackers/veggies, 100 calorie microwave popcorn bags, single serving Skinny Cow or Edy's ice cream…
  • MMMmmm! Last night I had a very tasty snack of hummus and sweet chili flavored rice crisps. Yum!
  • The average cup of coffee has about 100mg of caffeine, depending on how strong you make it. Two cups should be fine.
  • I'm also a hiring manager. I have at least two employees (that I know of) that have tattoos. One of them, I actually did not hire...he was hired before I was manager. The other, I hired. I did not know he had a tattoo before, and I frankly wouldn't have cared. BUT...I expect them both to comply with the dress code policy,…
