Sorry, I use the Polar FT4 but no syncing- I just enter it into MFP manually. I didnt know there was a band that autosynced. If you find out more, I'd be curious as to how well it works as well

This comes up again and again and there will always be differing opinions. The most consistent advice, and what has worked for me personally, is ending the day at my BMR (google BMR calculator to get your BMR estimate). Again, this number is an estimate just as anything else, but it is generally agreed that the healthiest…

I am anti-scale. I am also lifting and doing a lot of weight training as well as HIIT. I knew I had to give up the scale when I was able to fit into a pair of shorts I hadn't buttoned in a year and the scale had said I actually GAINED a pound. I know that if I log, workout, and stay on track, eventually I will lose weight.…

I use my HRM to log it. My recommendation is a HRM from POLAR. I have the FT4, which was fairly cheap (found mine for $50 on Amazon) and is fairly accurate from my experiences and from other users. They have higher end models that are fancier, but I find that for my needs this is enough

Start small... try walking! It's highly underrated. Commit to walking 1mile, 2 miles, 3 miles whatever and increase that each time. Additionally, get dumbells or resistance bands. Walking with light weights increases burn and works your arms. Also, Leslie Sansone has a ton of (VERY VERY AFFORDABLE) DVDs on Amazon, they are…

It's changed with time- when LO was Itty bitty, it was the jogging stroller. Then I found a gym with a daycare. Now that my son is 6 and in school activities and camp inthe Summer and refuses to go to the daycare, I joined a gym near my office so I can workout at lunch only so I workout every day at lunch and we go bike…

The issue here is the physical attraction. I hate to say it, but I HAVE broken up with a guy who lost a TON of weight while we were dating because I was no longer attracted to him physically. Love is not necessarily always blind. We're not talking about 2 people who are married and have that next level love that theyve…

I workout HARD at lunch. I get an hour, so I make the most of the 45 minutes I actually have on the gym floor. I have access to a shower at the gym though, so I shower and comes back to work with wet hair sometimes lol. Maybe you can make lunch time your weights time? I sweat a lot less when I do weights only. Maybe save…

Peppers and feta are my fav combo. I'll sprinkle in bacon or turkey if I'm in the mood for meat

Please, come to NYC and take your pick! I LOVE a nerdy boy, sci-fi fans and playing video games, but I HATE staying indoors. I can't have it both ways apparently. Dating in a big city when all you want is a country boy (ie: hunting, fishing, outdoorsy), is ROUGH. I dont WANT to stay in, but I end up doing it far too often…

Wow. I never really thought about it that way. That really does add a new dimension to it. Ive been getting into Classic Who lately, and for me it's really interesting to see pre-Time War Doctors...they aren't carrying the same "weight" with them. I imagine it's far different for those who watched Classic Who before New Who

THIS was the best thing I've EVER read on the message boards. ***applause***

You ARE that noob. And thats OK, because at some point, most people were. It's OK to ask for help. And I promise, most people are totally cool with that.

This x2. I was REALLY big whenI started going to the gym, I joined Lucille Roberts because the idea of working out with men left me paralyzed and even then, I would only go really late at night when it was almost empty. Now? Forget it! I'm the regular ol gym every day at lunch and often after work and I'm right there at…

Tennant grew on me, that's for sure. He was SO different from Eccleston that I just wasn't feeling it. I feel like Tennant and Smith both have that goofy playfulness to them, which is great and all...but I just loved loved loved the depth to Eccleston

I found it impossible to maintain a diet of 1000 calories- I certainly have days where after a few workours and what not I may end up netting around that, but my intake is almost always at least 1600. You should be eating at or as close to your BMR as possible. If you were in a coma, your BMR is the very minimum you would…

THIS. When I was HUGE (250 lb at 5'3") I didnt see it... I knew I was in plus sizes, but I didnt "get it"... When I got down to regular sizes, I thought I was a skinny minnie. Now that Ive maintained a size 12-14 for a few years (hovering around 200 lbs), I am starting to see the truth of the matter, and that's that it's…
