You didn't post a picture so there's no way to say for sure but I would say 99.9% no. I have the same indentations and they are definitely not abs. You can feel your own abs, just flex them and poke through the fat and you can feel the hard muscle below an inch or two or flab. THOSE are your abs :D

Yes. You will make very fast progress in the beginning just like everyone else.
-
You literally could not be more wrong if you tried your hardest for the rest of your life.
-
Yup. A beginner trying to invent a routine sounds like a disaster in the making.

Eat less calories.
-
Agreed, probably tendonitis.

If only all threads went this well.

Do whatever you want, it's really not going to matter.

Yes, deloads are an important part of training, regardless of age. ~6-8 weeks is good for me typically.

Winging it is a great way to waste your time.

Could someone translate this thread to english please?

"Novice" refers to where you are at in your lifting career. If you haven't lifted in 3 years you are back to the beginner/novice level and an appropriate program like SS or SL is a good place to start back up.

I mean, if you enjoy it then who cares, I doubt it's causing any harm. As far as it being necessary - not even close.

I came here to post this.

-2/10 is what I would rate this workout, especially considering your goals.

Yes, you are overthinking it, I can't even find anything to nitpick about. Hell I wish my squats looked that good.
-
Those are some beautiful squats. How did it feel? By the way, one of the best decisions I ever made was swapping to the other side of my squat rack so I can't see myself in the mirror. Gotta concentrate on what your body is doing, not what you're looking at. IMO. Helped my form a lot.

It's not just you. :)

Don't mix sprints and dreadlifts.

Wrist wraps.

I've been powerlifting for over 5 years and it's constant trial-and-error and form/technique correction and injury prevention/rehab and research and you name it. Stretching and warm-up and prehab/rehab is all part of that. Anyone who is even remotely serious about lifting deals with these things sooner or later (and…

Losing weight will lose the man boobs (unless you actually have gyno but it doesn't sound like). Doing chest exercises just builds the muscles which can actually give the appearance of larger man boobs.

Sure thing. Ideally you want the bar centered over the middle of your foot. It's hard to see in the video but it's somewhat close at least. The bar IS a litttttle forward of that point I think but it's not horrendous. Does it line up better with a lower weight? If it doesn't then it tends to strictly be a technique/balance…

Your squats look pretty damn good to me. It's normal to struggle and shift around a little when you change directions with a heavy weight, IMO. You look like you correct quickly from the tiniest movement. One cue that helps me powering out of the hole is to think about driving my upper back backwards into the bar as I…

I put it in my mouth, then I chew it, then I swallow it. Repeat as necessary.
-
Definitely weird but if you're that big of a germaphobe then who cares?

Everything you've described sounds like dehydration/electrolyte imbalance. Including where you hydrate and feel better. You feel thirsty, drink more! 20oz is nothing, try to get at least a gallon a day (128oz). In fact, with all that walking and heat you could need significantly more than that. Play it by ear and drink up.

Welcome to pretty much everyone.

I agree completely, however the OP says specifically "new to lifting...".
