You don't look like you weigh 230 now. Good Job!

I had plantar fascitis in both feet at the same time. My best advice is to thoroughly stretch your foot before putting any weight on it. The pain is caused by a vicious cycle of the tendon constricting when not in use and then literally tearing itself off the bone when you put weight on it. I feel for you as I could only…

In the beginning first 6 weeks it was a constant loss (about 23 lbs in the first 5 weeks)....then a plateau for several weeks....now my weight bounces up and down a bit but I'm seeing a slower trend down (5lbs in the last 6 weeks). Just stick to it. It will work eventually.

“There’s a difference between interest and commitment. When you’re interested in something, you do it only when it’s convenient. When you’re committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results.” ― Kenneth H. Blanchard

Cut out basically all processed sugar when I was diagnosed as diabetic. Took a while to get used to but I don't miss it now.

Just because they serve it doesn't mean you have to eat it all. I used to go out for a chinese food combo platter & eat the whole thing. Now I order the same thing, but I changed from fried rice to brown rice and only eat 1/2 of the meal an take the other half home. Still not the best for you, especially the sodium part,…

On the very few occasions that I do go to McDonalds I order the Grilled Chicken Caesar salad, don't use the croutons and only 1/2 of the dressing package. Snack wrap always leaves me wanting more. If you really want to be careful, bring some of your own dressing.…

Just came off of 2 weeks of oral steroids for a contact dermatitis. Lost weight each week. You won't have a problem with a 2 week steroid regimen. People who have problems with steroids are on them for extended periods of time.

Cut back carbs drastically & pretty much all processed sugars. Lost 25 lbs in 8 weeks.

Kraft fat free is something like 15 cal for 2 tablespoons & the sugars are not too bad. Not the best, but can't beat 15 calories per serving.

Hmmm...at that rate my wife must burn about 3000 calories a day shopping!! No wonder she's so skinny. LOL

Double-check the calculations. Your maintain w/o excercise should be around 1500.

Sounds like the spouse has a weight problem too. Ever discuss/invite her to doing it together? Sounds like she could use some support.

Congrats! Stopped wearing mine this week. It needs to be resized....it's too big. Never thought I'd be able to say that about anything I own.

Used to drink 4-5 cups of coffee per day with cream & 2 sugars. Now I allow myself one coffee with cream & splenda in the AM and then I switch to black or green tea with no cream. I found its the easiest way to trim useless calories and I still get a cup of coffee in the AM as a treat.

You really need to go to the doctor. Sleep-eating is not normal. Maybe you won't need medication, but if you do, you do. Please make an appointment.

They just started a 3 month competition at work. $5/wk to participate with a $5 penalty if you gain weight in a week. It's all going on percentage lost. No one knows actual weights except our trustworthy admin assistant. BTW - our admin asst gets 10% of the pot for keeping track of the weights & $$$.

Initially you lose a lot of weight quickly (like your 1lb/day) as your body flushes out. This will taper down after the first week or 2. If you're struggling with 1650, try to go to 1800. If you're ok @ 1650 keep it at that.

Looks like we're in the same boat. I was diagnosed a severely diabetic type 2 in July with an a1c of 12. Doc put me on 2000mg of Metformin and told me I needed to lose 30lbs asap and then at least another 30lbs. I've dropped 20lbs of the first 30 in a month and a half. Looking forward to my next office visit in October and…

I challenge any of the NY pizza's with Regina's Pizza in Boston's North-end. If you're in Boston you have to try it and make sure you go only to the original location in the North-end. The franchise locations are not nearly as good. GO RED SOX!

My A1C went from 12.0 to 9.3 in 3 weeks and I was on METFORMIN and a strict low carb/sugar diet.
