  • Hi everyone! I'm 35 with three kids (one of which just turned 18 and joined the military! EEK!). I have just under 50lbs to lose (47.5 to meet my goal weight). I'm new here as well and would gladly accept new friends! :)
  • I have some sort of oral fixation, so not eating as much/often is killing me! I was stuffed today after my oatmeal breakfast, but around eleven I was sitting here thinking "I'm not at all hungry, but damn it I want to eat something crunchy". I downed some water, chewed a piece of gum, downed some more water, and it still…
  • @NotGoddess the instant download thing is what sold me. The nearest bookstores are each about 35 minutes away and one of those (Borders) just closed, so it wasn't simple for me to just go pick up a new book. We leave in an area where reading isn't exactly top priority for the community so any bookstores that have opened…
  • Oh yeah....my husband downloaded the new Jim Butcher today! Last week we got the newest George RR Martin too. :)
  • On my Nook I have pdf's and epubs that I've downloaded from other sites (mostly gutenburgproject.com); they all work fine. I even have a few word doc that I've put on there and it's fine. There's an app you can download for free that will help sort misc files and keep pages for you; the nook doesn't "bookmark" pages on…
  • I upgraded from the original Nook to the Nook Color. Love them both. Only downside to the Nook Color though, it's difficult to read in bright sunlight; but you can buy the anti-glare screen like they have for computers and what not and that takes care of the problem. You also can't read it while wearing polarized…
  • It seems like M&M's and crazy go well together.... I have to empty mine all out on a plate or napkin, toss the blue ones, and line them up by color from most to least and then I eat the ones with the least first and so on. Yep.....that makes me crazy. I'm also another one that can't have my food touching on my plate.
  • Oh I don't want to see abs (least not yet), I just want to start by being able to see my feet! LMAO
  • I don't think the natural sugars are "bad" per se, but I'm concerned as to whether or not there can be too much of them as well. When I want that KitKat or whatever I'll grab a peach or banana instead. My thinking was "aren't I just replacing one sugar with another and not really making a difference?" But I'm new to the…
