It has no flavor of it's own, so I use it in everything, from sweet dishes to savory ones. I make protein bars and put it in, I put it in fritatas, I reconstitute it in broth with rice and... pretty much sneak it in everything.

I think it's meeting new people. Right now I know most of the people I'm going to know from work and the gym and the places I frequent... and I don't know how to meet people without a proper introduction... hell, I don't even know how to make eye contact with a cute guy. And I doubt that they're going to introduce…

Honestly, I would just stick with those guidelines and see where it falls. When I avoid added carbs, I end up around 35-35-30 (carbs-protein-fat).

The feminazi from the sammich thread should come over here and rant about how capable women are of opening their own doors blah blah blah. I open doors for people, and I think it is relatively rare that someone opens one for me because I usually open it for them. But there have been a few times where I've had my hands full…

When my ex lost weight, he looked sickly. Extreme calorie restriction and lack of muscle mass can make a person look sickly. In your case though, it sounds like you should just put a current pic on your website so clients know what to expect and don't think your website is current and you've been dropping weight like crazy.

Technically all sexist implications were on your part, since OP never implied that men are not similarly disposed to make sammiches, nor did he suggest said sammiches be made for any person other than the individual.
-
I was a late bloomer, but started making sammiches at about age 16 and have never looked back!

I laughed. Hard. Thanks :)

Heavy is relative. However many reps you do, the last ones should be tough. And in the beginning there should be fast progression as you make a lot of neuromuscular adaptations. If you need a plan, the book 'new rules of lifting for women' was my starting point (and a lot of others around here)

Weird. Thanks for the heads up. Anyone know how to make that not happen?

Oldest: When I was 20, he was 27. Dated for over a year and a half, didn't work out because it was long distance Youngest: most recent xbf was about a year younger. We dated for under a year and broke up because he's young and not ready to be serious. Age is never a deal breaker, but I think older works way better for me.…

Meh, I usually respond to actual posts, but rarely do I comment on: activities (unless they are something out of the ordinary), completing the diary for the day (unless I'm bored or looking for something yummy to eat), or days in a row (unless I'm bored). I do respond to actual posts and messages and questions, and…

While I agree, if it is for ethical reasons, doing the best you can does count for something. Personally, I couldn't hit my macros on a vegan diet. I'm super picky though. Also, I don't think that it's potential impact on your weight should factor in because you really can lose weight on any diet. And here, I mean diet in…

Alyssa. I've always hated it. A lot.

Currently 25.8 (we should start a club) But I don't really believe in BMI. I'm going by body fat percentage because I have high lean mass. So at my goal of 17% body fat, my BMI will still be 23.9, barely healthy

Maybe a pin up girl. We'll see if I actually have the nerve :)

When I first joined MFP, I told myself "you have to get in something that looks like exercise every day." For rest days I just did low intensity cardio. Some days it was only 15 minutes of HIIT if I was busy... but I made myself go every day. Now I'm addicted and I get fidgety and feel gross when I can't work out. I…

Many studies have seen similar "more than expected based on lost mass" metabolism changes. Some examples below. In no way are we doomed to regain the weight, we just will always have to work harder than people who naturally maintain the weight we diet down to. JAMA. 2012 Jun 27;307(24):2627-34. Effects of dietary…

I agree with what you said. I never said light weights would be superior, I said it could be sufficient to not lose much muscle. Note the excessive use of qualifiers because I don't know of any study that has really shown that statement to be untrue. In fact, this brand new study showed that with only aerobic training,…

My butt has never gotten much attention until I started lifting heavy.

Custom TDEE button seems to be broken, you can put in a custom BMR though and adjust that until the TDEE displayed is what you want. Also, I think you probably would be lightly active. I work out 7 days a week, some days lighter some days heavier, and my job is non-sedentary and my TDEE via my bodybugg (which matches with…

1) boo to caps 2) you have 39 lb to lose according to your ticker. Seems a bit early to be worried about what will and won't go away 3) you can't spot reduce. Keep up the good work and you'll get there

Dark chocolate dreams peanut butter Click coffee + protein powder Boneless skinless chicken breast After 10 pm, it's vodka (I do IF, so I don't usually eat late... Unless I'm out and then I drink, but don't eat)

This. It's not a bad idea in theory, but it will make the last few pounds obnoxious. And impossible if that tdee calculation is off.

This is describing the study I was talking about. I think the problem is that typically people don't do light weights to fatigue, and as I mentioned, this study says lighter, a feather isn't gonna do anything. And progression is an important element people often miss... Ill see the same girl using the same 5 lb weight for…

Ignore the guy above me. The word toning was made up by the fitness world to describe lowering body fat percent. You can grow muscle, maintain it, or lose it. Same with fat. At some combination of muscle mass and body fat you will find a look you like. Recent research has shown you can lift 60% of 1 rep max to failure and…

Not an educated opinion, and I usually don't like scruffy men, but it looks good on you! You can pull off the longer hair and facial hair.

Hmm, I think that means I've been doing it wrong.
