  • Are guys allowed to join this one? If so here goes. I'm usually not an emotional eater during my days off but since I work 12 hour shifts and the weekends I don't get to see my kids very much. I also work in a call center which doesn't afford much time to do activity during working hours. I find myself thinking about my…
  • You guys are awesome! I think I got my answer. I went tent camping this weekend and basically slept on the ground(not much sleep). I do work weekends too so that made it a little more difficult. I had a fast food breakfast yesterday on the way to work(I know bad but I was running late. I know not an excuse.), I did think…
  • Go buy a bar bell and throw it out the car window. 1 more pound lost!!! Congratulations and Happy Happy Birthday
  • If you truly want to eat something to fill in some(not all) of those calories, make sure its something like a salad or some kind of fiber. I've been told to eat half of your burned calories but like the others said, one days not going to hurt. And ever eat when you're not hungry.I wouldn't be the size of 2 adult men if I…
  • Easy, look up the calories of the items before you go through the drive thru. You'll realize how bad things are and you'll eventually stop craving those items. If that doesn't work then do what I do with the vending machine here at work. RUN right past them before you get a chance to stop. Doug
  • Obesity related illnesses like diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure... the list goes on. My family especially since I want to be able to see my kids grow up and be able to spend the rest of my LONG life with my wife and the fact that before I started losing weight I had absolutely no energy to do anything. It was…
  • I did the same thing a couple weeks back and the scale showed that I gained 6 pounds. I went to bed, woke up, went to the bathroom and weighed myself and ended up losing a pound. Don't worry be happy. If you gain weight then get back on track the next day.
  • I started at the gym last week and can't get enough. Don't worry about people seeing you. If I can go work out with no problem at 318lbs then you can definitely go. You're not working out to win over the people at the gym anyway so just go. Do it for yourself. you're the most important person that you can take care of. So…
  • You're just not right! LOL!
  • That's why they call it a weight loss journey. Sometimes you get side tracked. Get back on the horse and ride it to your goal and don't quit! You CAN do it. Friend me if you'd like. Doug

  • About 200 yards. Of course that'll increase drastically once I get the extra person(in weight) off of me!
  • You guys are awesome :flowerforyou: . Friend me if you'd like. Thanks Doug
  • Get moving! Find things you love to do. I had the same thing happen and making eating a chore that you have to do instead of something you want to do IS a good thing. Makes the journey a little easier. Trust me, I've got 140 more pounds to lose and mind set is 90 percent of the challenge with this. I still fight with the…
  • You can get rid of a lot of fat that way but you will gain a ton of calories. Don't limit yourself to just one kind of food or you'll get burned out and quit. This is a lifelong journey and you have to learn how to eat right and exercise right to lose the weight you want. Doug
  • My mom actually drinks almond milk and gets hers from the krogers organic area so I imagine you can get it at any major grocery store. Just check your ingredients.
  • strawberry banana protein shake after a hard work out. Oh my God thats awesome! I'm a huge spice freak too so I'll have to try the cheyenne too ;)
  • I have been weighing everyday for a while but I'm going to stop. I started weight training and taking cardio classes at the gym and my weight seriously went wacky. I actually gained 4 pounds the first week. I felt extremely depressed and felt like punching the wall until I weighed myself at the end of that same week and…
  • I'm starting an ab class next wednesday and hope I get results like that! Congrats. Doug
  • Onederland is the term for someone losing enough weight to be in the 100's. When they go from the 200's to the 100 hundreds they went to 1derland. Doug
  • I'm not an expert on almond milk but as a general rule anything with very little preservatives should be good. Look at the label and if you know what the ingredients are and can pronounce them then you should be ok. Doug
  • The people on the biggest loser are strictly monitored and their diets are given to them by dieticians depending on their health. Also, they do extremely strenuous long work outs during the week and unless you plan on giving up your job and everything else thats important to you then that is out of the question. It seems…
  • Awesome decision that you made and you'll love it here. People are super supportive and knowledgeable. Wish you luck! Doug
  • Onederland is when your first number in your weight is 1 instead of 2 or 3 or whatever.
  • I'm 18 pounds from the 200's and yeah you're doing awesome! Keep up the good work. Doug
  • Why are you losing weight? How far have you come? Who are you losing weight for? Answer these questions and you'll find your motivation. I'm personally 318 pounds down from 340 and have another 130 pounds to lose. If I don't lose the weight I may die of a variety of obesity related diseases(cancer, diabetes, heart disease,…
  • I'll have to agree with tross. There are a large number of calorie counting books out there. Make sure you get one that has restaurants that are available to you as well as a good variety of foods. Good luck! Doug
  • I'm not sure but one thing that I've noticed with my weight loss is when I was eating 5 times per day I actually would not lose or gain anything with the morning snack included. I started seeing results once the morning snack was removed. I'm an avid Biggest loser watcher and have the wii game at home and they recommend 3…
