I have a 10 year old road racer on my hands. His first year of racing was 2011 and he finished 2nd in the State for 10-12 year olds in the Best All Around Rider competition. He is a B+ rider at 10.... He will be dropping me soon!!!

Yeah Atkins is all low carb. Some people think Paleo is low carb, but it really isn't. I follow Paleo, but I know a bunch do Primal and was wondering other than dairy, what is the difference.

Great Point about the inflammation that eating grains cause and not just the gluten problems. I cut grains completely out of my diet and my performance the on bicycle has dramatically improved. I'm recovering faster from my workouts and can do my next hard workout sooner.

There both probably off. Go with the lower one for now. Invest in a heart monitor that will count calories as this will get you closer. Especially if it lets you put in your own max heart rate. I'm big into cycling and I always log my exercise speed in slower then what I actually did to match my real calorie burn.

The calorie burn caculators are too high here. I always log my cycling rides in at slower paces to match my real burn and even then I think they are slightly high. It is hard when your on a different diet then those around you.... Last night I cooked two dinners. One for my family and one for me. They had Shrimp and Broccolie Alfredo on pasta. I had grilled shrimp and steamed broccolie.

If your sore, then you need to let the muscle recover more. The gym is only a stimulate and you really build muscle when out of the gym and when your sleeping.
