  • Thanks @ninerbuff! That’s so true!
  • Thanks @SkeeAtWork2017! I appreciate the kind words!
  • Hey everyone! I know I said I wasn’t going to post today, however we got creamed on all 3 games and don’t have to play tomorrow. Backstory: my son only plays on rec level. Usually a parent of one of the players is the coach and the teams are randomly assigned each season so they never really play with the same players. We…
  • Not sure how many minutes total I walked today, but my son had 3 back to back soccer games and we walked all over the soccer complex and we parked in one of the furthest parking spaces which was a hike by itself and we made several trips back and forth to the car between games. So I did a lot of walking today.
  • Leaving to go out of town in just a couple of hours. Taking tomorrow off! We will see if we are back in town Sunday for some cardio. Cardio: 10 min treadmill - burned 62 cals Strength: 3x10 leg press 3x10 chest press 5x10 rows 3x10 lat pull downs 3x10 overhead press 3x10 ab crunches 3x10 standing side crunches 3x10 reverse…
  • @zeuggma thanks! I’m really REALLY going to try to do 3 days a week of lifting. When I go tomorrow that will be accomplished for this week! Sometimes it’s hard because my husband shift works. He’s been waking up all week (he’s been on nights) during the day to let me go workout while he watched our toddler, then going back…
  • Well today is the last day of November. I didn’t do this challenge to the best of my ability. I probably walked my designated 30 minutes only half the month (if that). I’m disappointed in myself. I would love to do a December one too though and take it serious this time. I can’t continue living my life inside hanging out…
  • Hey everyone! Welcome DEF! Cardio: Just cleaned around the house. Caught up laundry so I can pack for my sons soccer tournament this weekend. I haven’t sat much at all today so I consider that cardio because I usually sit more than I did today. Strength: Rest day Assessment: I plan on hitting the gym tomorrow morning…
  • Meal prep! Meal prep! Meal prep! Egg muffins with fruit for breakfast. You just need 8 eggs, one bell pepper, one tomato, one cup of mushrooms and a little shredded cheese. This makes 12 muffins!! I will eat two with a side of fresh fruit for breakfast. Cheap and will last 6 days and healthy! (Egg muffins can be frozen)…
  • Maybe he can call in a to-go order at his restaurant of choice while you prepare a meal for yourself at home. He can pick it up and bring it home and you both eat what you want, together! Sometimes my husband and I do this for lunch. I’m ok with scrounging up anything we have at the house, but he is pickier. So he will get…
  • I agree with others. Try both ways and see what works for you. I personally like walking at a very brisk pace for 10 minutes before strength training. Anymore and it wears me out too much. It’s just enough to warm me up and loosen any tight muscles before I lift. I do more cardio on my days off from lifting.
  • Such an inspiration! I’m glad you said it took many do overs. It seems like I’m always saying “this time it’s for good”. At least I’m not giving up completely. You've given me hope that I’ll get there one day if I keep pushing. Great job!
  • You look fantastic at 182!!! I’m also 5’7” and I currently weigh 190. I want to to be around 140-145 (I’ll know when I get there). You look way better than me. I carry my weight heavily in my tummy (2 kids and fibroid surgery). Even when I’ve weighed 182 in the past I didn’t look as good as you. Keep it up! You will get…
  • I’m a lifting mom. Just like a normal mom except more badass! Cardio: 10 min on treadmill (burned 62 cals) Strength: 3x10 leg press (went up in weight!) 3x10 chest press 5x10 rows (went up in weight) 3x10 lat pull downs 3x10 overhead press 5x10 ab crunches 3x10 straight leg deadlifts (went up in weight) Assessment: I’m…
  • I did a you tube barre workout several times a while back and I logged it under cardio, dancing aerobic ballet. I just plugged in how many minutes I did it for.
  • Good to be back, thanks y’all! Cardio: 30 minutes walking up and down the street pushing my daughter in her stroller. Strength: rest day Assessment: getting my mojo back. I bought the book Thinner, Leaner, Stronger by Michael Matthews a couple of years ago. I started reading it again last night. I love this book. I’m…
  • Walked 30 minutes up and down the street pushing Ella in her stroller.
  • Hey I would take that as well because I joke about how my jaw bones have sort of disappeared. I haven’t seen them in about 11 years.
  • I’m currently 190. I just started strength training about a month ago. I do cardio in between. I feel strong, like I can do anything when I lift. My weight hasn’t dropped much yet (mostly due to my lack of commitment to eating like I should a lot of the time) but my clothes are not as tight. Bonus: my husband said he can…
  • I did 10 minutes on the treadmill and walked all over academy for about an hour.
  • I know I’ve been gone for awhile. I was the new person and I left. You were probably thinking another one bites the dust. Well I’m back and for good this time. I’ve got to get healthy and in better shape for myself and my family. I really want this. Even though I haven’t been logging or working out, I’ve managed to…

  • I know I haven’t been posting. I haven’t done purposeful walks, however I’ve been staying very active between keeping my house clean and all the shopping lately. I’ve also been parking in the back of parking lots to get in more steps. I will make it a point to do my purposeful 30 minutes for the remainder of the month.…
  • As hard as it would be, you should try going back to that class and do it the way YOU do it. Show her that she can’t keep you down. If that a-hole says anything this time, just call her out in front of everyone. Say “why are you being rude and putting me down? Aren’t you supposed to be helping people instead of breaking…
  • @zeuggma thanks for all the info and pep talk. I will also incorporate the never two days in a row into my plan. This will help me a lot. As for the kids, son is 11 next month and daughter is 2. We have a soccer goal in the back yard and we will go back there and practice with him or I’ll pull daughter in the wagon or push…
  • All I can say is GOALS for sure, for me!!! I post with you on the accountably forum. I promise I’m not stalking. I just came across your success story and recognized your name and pic. I envy your active lifestyle. That is my issue, finding the time with kids and a husband who shift works. There’s no consistency with my…
  • My sister in law’s grandmother is rude, blunt, always has to be right and did I mention rude?!? She came up to me at my niece’s birthday and asked if I was pregnant. When I told her a simple no for an answer, she began to question if I was sure because I really looked like I was pregnant (as her eyes were scrolling up and…
