I joined back in April and everything I've entered is still there.

I often have a deli meat "sandwich" but instead of bread I eat it rolled up in lettuce. I pair it with a low fat cheese stick and plenty of water.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I have to tell you. I weigh less, on the scale, than I did before my first child (I have 2 teenagers) but there is NO WAY those old clothes would ever fit. My breasts will never be the same size. There might be hope for my waistline, but it would require "tummy-tuck" surgery. On a…

I couldn't do a push up either, about 6 weeks ago. My husband and I were in Hawaii and working out together at the hotel fitness center. It was a little embarrassing, even though he was being very supportive. So I started with just holding myself up in modified push-up position - on my knees, mind you. I worked up to…

I looked at this video in a store and saw that it is only a 30 (?) min. workout. It sounds like you have used it before, so i'm wondering about how well it works if its only 30 minutes. Do you do other exercise in addition? Also, is the 30 day shred just a workout, or is it also a food plan? Thanks!

Thanks for the link, booch. My (high school) boys prefer homemade pizza to pizzaria any day (less greasy, more toppings, they say). I will try out this new crust recipe next time a I get a request for pizza for dinner.

Congratulations on joining the site and working on your health. I have 2 teen-age boys also and I find they are hot and cold about junk food. Now that I've been trying to eat healthier for a few months, they're getting used to less junk around the house. Sometimes they even roll their eyes at junk food. Other times they…

I agree with that ratio, generally speaking. However, when you loose the fat, if you have no muscle tone, you still won't look that great. Also, muscle burns more calories than fat at a resting state, so building up your muscle helps you burn calories all day (and night). Exercise also keeps your metabolism up so that you…

Good Luck, Susan! I hope you find this site as motivating as I do. It's really helping me be honest about what I eat, and i LOVE IT when I add my exercise and it tells me I can eat more! It took me about 2 weeks to get to where I could consistently make the calorie goal (at -1 pound per week), so don't get discouraged if…

Going for a walk (dog loves it) about 1-2 hours after dinner is really helping me. I follow up w/ice tea - the flavor seems to satisfy more than water. Took a while to rid my house of junk food (2 teenage boys) but we're down to "have to be desperate" snacks. Congratulations on your 11 pounds! Good luck with the next 11!

One possibility: Make or buy something that you DON'T like - then you won't be tempted to eat it at the event. (Personally, I would make banana cream pie - uugghh - )
