My son plays sports as well as walking to and from school. I aim for 6 days a week... but generally i do work out every day. Depends how my body feels as to whether i take a day off or not.

When i first started, it was because i had to squeeze into my toilet. I couldn't turn around without brushing against the walls. *sigh* made me sad. But makes me laugh now cause i can spin around in the loo without touching the walls!! (i wouldn't recommend doing that though LOL)

You can definitely do both at the same time :smile: I did!! But... you have to be truly dedicated. I actually ended up putting on about 5kgs during the first month. Thats something that you'd need to watch out for. But i'm fine now :smile:

Mix up what you're doing! Your body gets used to the same exercises, and works more efficiently at doing it. Mix it up a bit. Go swimming, take up tennis! Just be aware that it can take several weeks to work through a plateau, so don't give up!!

Went for a 45 minute walk this arvo, and half way through i felt a pain under my foot. Blister seems to be forming. Thats my sign that its time for a new pair of shoes.

If you really wanted to lose the weight, you'd fit in the exercise. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but its the truth. Can you get up an hour earlier every morning to go for a walk/jog or do one of your exercise videos? Go for a walk during your lunch break. While watching tv do stretches, sit ups, push ups, star jumps etc.…

Start measuring yourself! Upper arms, thighs, waist and chest!! I find that on those weeks that i'm not losing weight, i'll still be losing cm's. Good luck!

It didn't take overnight to put the weight on, and it won't take overnight to lose it. I'll always stick by the tried and true method of eating healthy and at least 30 mins of exercise daily. I've lost 23kgs so far just by doing that alone. No fad diets, no pills, no under-eating.
