Like a lot of things, I think this issue is just all in some peoples' heads. My breakfast would have had the exact same amount of calories whether I had to chew it or sip it. I had a smoothie, and I'm just as full and hour later than if I had not blended everything. However, I would say that the grapfruit I plan to eat…

I got 455 in May, and I'm going for 500 in June. I ride for under an hour really early most mornings before work, and I get a long one in on Saturday morings and whenever else I can squeeze one in. I've spent an immense amout of time this year on the trainer, but I started this month with doing my short predawn weekday…

I put in a lot of milage on country roads, and I have no tolerance for people who let their dogs run loose. I wouldn't want to confront the owners unless they were outside and witnessed what happened, but I wouldn't hesitate to call animal control if it's a recurring problem like you're having. There was a issue recently…

I love to hear someone experiencing the wonderful joys of cycling.!! Doesn't matter how fast or how far you ride, just keep on pedaling=) I'll tell you a secret to end your suffering...padded shorts, chamois cream and a properly fitted sadle

The main culprits seem to be deli meat, restaurant food, things like canned sauces and store bought broth and such. Baking powder and soda both have a lot. I cook at home almost all the time and always use salt and other seaonings with salt, and I never go on sodium over eating like that. There really isn't that much…

Busy working mom here and what works best for me on a daily basis is working out at home before everyone else wakes up in the morning. It is hard to get the habit started, but it's so worth it. I was previously a snooze fiend, but now it's pretty much second nature. I get it done, I feel great the rest of the day, and it…

I've made other protein pancakes that were really good and very filling and also portable if eaten without toppings. I really like the sound of these ones with the almond meal.

A cucumber and leftover chicken and broccoli pie because I decided to have my peanut butter sandwich for breakfast today.

Frozen fruit has definitely been a big one for me too. Banana with cocoa powder is awesome and so is mango, papaya and/or pineapple. I sometimes add a little almond or coconut milk depending on the desired consistency. Since I've incorporated more fruit into my diet, I've found my sweet tooth to have calmed down a bit.…

False! I've had an off week being sick, but I normally burn 300-2000+ calories a day. This is definitely not factored into my daily goal of 1400. I don't agree with staying away from any foods, unless they are triggers for you to over indulge. No good will come of starving yourself. You may see weight fall off quickly, but…

You are amazing!! One of the most touching stories I have ever seen on here. Thank you for sharing:flowerforyou:

If you want to make the time, you'll find it. Working mom with a long commute, so 4am daily is where it's at for me. And Saturday mornings when it's off season for the kids, or any other time I can squeeze in a ride or a workout.

Exactly. When you don't accurately log or even log at all, you are only hurting yourself. Weighing high calorie things like peanut butter and granola is crucial if you want accuracy, but even things like fruit will be way off if you log it as one piece or one cup instead of by its weigh. It all adds up.

I'm 5'3" and currently 144. My goal is 1400 and I eat ALL my exercise calories back, except sometimes when I burn over 2,000 because I just don't want to eat any more. I have consistently lost 1lb/week average since the end of last year. I have a desk job but am very active (not counting exercise) when I'm off, but my…

Incredible!! And you look so young now! I just love a success story that involves cake lol.

Fruit or dark chocolate...stay away from the artificial garbage

I think you look lovely in both pics:) I can totally relate to other women trying to be pushy with the makeup. Years ago I had a Mary Kay lady go on and on about my beautiful skin, and I couldn't say no when she wanted to come over to give me a facial. But then of course it was all about her selling her crap lol. Feeling…

Yes, thank you!! Now I really can't wait for lunch *drool*

Join us! It will motivate you, and you can be part of our awesome team:) We're up to 32 riders and 41st in the nation! How many days a week you ride seems to be just as important as how many miles you ride.

I'm training to finally do my first full century ride soon and to be able to average 18mph for my second MS 150 in October. My goal is to end the year with at least 2000 miles. I have some weight that I'm trying to drop, but I'm mainly focusing on endurance and lowering my body fat %. I'm also very nutritionally focused,…

Busy, non-selling working mom here too. Diary's open, I log everyday and I'm very active and nutrition focused. Always open to new like minded friends:flowerforyou:

Hi! I'm an Aspie myself, and night and emotional eating have been my biggest hurdles. I love to ride my bike, and I try to do my best to encourage others. Always happy to have a new friends:flowerforyou:

Hi! I am on the spectrum myself, and I've actually gotten to be pretty social on here. I log every day, and am open to new friends:flowerforyou:

There's no such thing as too much peanut butter, as long as it fits in your calories and macros. 40g (about 2.5 tbs) of natural fits perfectly in mine everyday.
-
This! The exercise you log should not be figured into how active you are for MFP purposes. I too have a desk job, but I pretty much never sit down in the evenings except to eat dinner. I have custom goals sett for my calories and macros, but I do have it set as lightly active.
-
No offense, but that sounds terrible for many reasons. I'm 5'3", net 1400 calories a day, eat back my 6 day a week exercise calories, and I had dark chocolate just last night. I also precisely weigh and measure almost everything that goes in my mouth, use my HR to calculate all cardio and log low numbers for my strength…

Almost none of my clothes fit me anymore. And yesterday a lady in my office said, "You look so tiny in that shirt." It was an old one that was previously too tight. But most importantly my blood pressure and cholesterol were perfect when I went for my annual checkup this week.

Idk about a chicken smoothie:huh: But I busted my mouth up really bad as a kid, and my mom's homemade chicken noodle soup pureed in the blender and drank with a straw was actually really good.
