Lunch today was a quick pan concoction of mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes, shrimp and garlic with a little butter, lemon juice and chili powder. I served it over whole wheat pasta and it was about 400 calories for a generous plateful. Yum!

Oh wow - you peeps have been posting some yummy stuff lately! (As usual, eh!) Crystal - the glazed drumsticks and meatballs in particular look wonderful. What are those spring rolls in your last pic? They look like the kind my company makes. LOL Loves - you had me at parmesan fettuccine.... *sigh* Pix - the stuffed peppers…

Hi! I borrowed the book from the library, then recently bought it. I know strength training is important, and I really want to incorporate a strength routine into mylife. At the moment I'm trying to figure out how to get over the intimidation-factor of learning how to do the workouts at the gym. I'm 36, currently at…

Fat free cream cheese is evil. Have you noticed the stuff doesn't melt? It's gotta be plastic or something. I wouldn't worry about not finding it. Someone suggested Neufchatel which is quite like 1/3 less fat cream cheese. It's tasty, it spreads, and it melts. :) Full-fat is even better. I usually buy Neufchatel or…

Today's the day! Weigh-in one and all! I was up a bit... a well-deserved gain. But I now have both butt-cheeks firmly planted back on the wagon. No sweat, I didn't want to send myself a postcard anyway. Hope you've all had a tremendous couple of weeks! I'm seeing some nice losses on that spreadsheet!…

Oooh! I just got a couple more games for Christmas - imported from Germany! :) Both are awesome kids games I had a chance to play at the Essen gamefair. If you follow the links, there's pictures below. The games are soooo cool-lookin'. Monster Falle - players work in teams to guide a little monster figure through the maze.…

Good for you! I'm doing one - a Chicagoland friend from MFP and I are meeting for the Indiana Dash in August. I'm so excited (and a wee bit terrified). It's west of Indy - about 4hrs drive from Columbus. Let me know if you're into that one. :)
-
You ladies have been cooking up a storm! Everything looks wonderful! :) I need to hit the kitchen again!
-
Look at all you awesome contenders! Who knew a postcard from "Cowtown" would be such a draw? I'm now closing this challenge to new entrants. If you wanted to play, but found this thread too late, no worries - the winner will start another round in a couple of weeks. :) Competitors: if you haven't posted your…

Oh dear... 259.8. I'm blaming the ham (aka sodium-bomb)... :ohwell:

Lovely pics, Pix! Are you getting decent berries this time of year? Grilled cheese is always so comfort-foody. :) I'm not a fan of turkey bacon either, and if I recall correctly, there isn't much difference in calories between lovely real bacon and turkey bacon. The difference in the macronutrient ratio with the turkey…

If I only exercised when I wanted to, I never would. I usually have to tell myself to just shut up and DO IT. LOL. I'm sure you'll find your motivation - or just do it. ;) Good luck!
-
Woot! I'll start the next challenge on Monday Jan 2nd (since it's pretty quiet here in MFP land at the moment). I'll post the new thread here a few days before.

Oooh! I got Mansions of Madness... with all the monster miniatures! :) Woot! http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/83330/mansions-of-madness

What a fun challenge! I ran out of time before leaving home to do the last few days... so sorry. Want to post what I intended to do for "10 Lords a Leaping" though, since it was cute! Doesn't the bowtie make him look "lordly"? :) Well done, Fallenangelloves, for doing all the days! Woohoo!

Fluxx is fun! I think the 6-year-old might have trouble with regular Fluxx - a player needs to be able to read the cards. Depends on the 6-year old. :) I haven't seen the Family Fluxx though - maybe that handles the reading/language issue. Blockus or 3-D Blockus are good family games. No reading/language needed. :) I've…
