I'm on the east side of Columbus. :)

WW - that salad looks divine! The chicken too (hooray for GARILIC!!!) Loves - is that a parsnip I see in your roasted veggie medley? I love roasted parsnips!

Oh, and since it's getting to be herb-garden season, I should mention that homemade pesto is very freezable! You can make up a big batch when it's time to cut back your basil plants and freeze it in an ice cube tray. Transfer the pesto cubes to a baggie and take out a couple for pasta, sauces, or for chicken or fish. Yum!…

This white bean chicken chili recipe is awesome and freezes like a dream. I usually more or less double itmake a few changes: - If you have time, use dried beans instead of canned - much easier on the sodium than the original recipe. - I tend to double the beans... :) - You can use fresh tomatillos and tomatoes instead of…

I've got some of those noodes, but wasn't quite sure what to do with them. This looks like a great option! Thanks for posting!

Gorgeous as always, Loves! The dessert is super-cute! :)

Pix - That cake looks incredible! I'm sure it tastes at least as good as it looks! Yum! And the stuffed shells... can't wait to make some! I've got an allrecipes.com recipe that I love for the filling. LOVES those strawberry muffins! They're adorable! :)

Oh, those raspberries LOOK like summer! :) Yes WW - what are those yummy dishes?

I'm going to have to try those fish tacos! And I adore pesto! I have some frozen into "ice cubes" that a friend and I made at the end of the summer. Time to use 'em up! It won't be long before it's time to make fresh stuff again!

The only time I do "mise en place" cooking is when a dish comes together very quickly - like for a stir fry where I won't have time to do additional chopping in between adds. For that, I won't always use little dishes - sometimes just section off the cutting board. LOL Ok, and sometimes with new recipes if they're a little…

Welcome Malissa! that's a gorgeous photo. I loooove salmon. FallenAngel, your outdoor fish looks scrumptious, and I adore chicken parm! Cook's Illustrated actually has a nice baked chicken parm recipe using panko crumbs. Hmmm... maybe I'll put that on my list for this week or next... now I'm jonesin'. Haha!

Another recipe-less concoction inspired by my hunny who does something similar with mango and shrimp. Sautee of onions, mushrooms, garlic, mango, spinach, grape tomatoes, shrimp, chili powder and a bit of chili pepper. Served over brown rice. I started with the mango, shrimp and tomatoes and rooted through the fridge…

Nice thighs, Crystal! ;) Seriously - that looks delicious! WW - thanks for the recipe tip! Might be a good thing to try with my Little next time we have dinner at my place. She's such a picky eater...

That baked potato looks great! I mean, why not? It's an upside-down shepherd's pie, right? I've got a couple of RR standbys in my recipe files. But I have a hard time watching her "30 minute meals" shows - she moves her arms and hands so much I think she looks like a Power Ranger. It's distracting! :)

Sweet Sesame Mahi-Mahi Found at allrecipes.com: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/sweet-sesame-mahi-mahi/detail.aspx Served with brown rice and (overly) wilted spinach. The recipe was... ok. It sounds more exciting that it was. The lime juice was too sour with my already-tart pineapple. If my pineapple was quite sweet, the lime…

Hurray for you in starting on this path! I've got over 100 to lose too (about 120 left now) and it's a long haul. I was 336 at my heaviest and lost about 40 lbs before joining MFP, and another 30 since then (and up and down a bit the past couple of months...) I probably don't have anything new to add to the wonderful list…

That rice bowl sounds like a great way to doctor up some leftovers! Yummy!

That cake sounds soooo light and delicious! :)

Oooh - the cod and mac 'n' cheese muffins look great! I love kale chips! Nice work ladies! :)

I'm no expert... not by a long shot. I only peeked through a few days of your diary. Prepared foods - especially soups - are sodium bombs. You might want to change your diary settings to show sodium and have a look at that. Sodium can make you retain water - especially if you're not drinking a whole lot (and maybe even…

Oh those chicks are sooooo cute! :)

Thanks for the link! :)

Chicken Tagine with Dates & Yogurt Served over quinoa (instead of couscous) with pan-roasted Brussel sprouts. My veggie delivery service sent some dates, which I'd never used in anything but cookies or bars. So I went looking for something to cook with dates. This Moroccan dish has an amazing spice blend including paprika,…

Oh my - everything was simply beautiful! What talent! I absolutely loved your daughter's non-traditional dress. She's gorgeous. The whole family was (yes, even tired you!) Thanks so much for sharing!

A made-up stuffed zucchini dish I had for lunch today. Filling is zucchini innards, mushrooms, onions, garlic, tomatoes, chicken breast, feta, mozzarella, and oregano. about 300 cals for half a zucchini! :)

My heaviest was 336 in 2010, but I started MFP at 294. I'm down almost 30 lbs now. MFP and the people here have been tremendously wonderful and supportive. Frankly, I'd have probably given up long ago, if left to my own devices, as I had every other time I embarked on a calorie-counting weight-loss journey. I'm learning…
