Agree with others who say don't mess with the crust. I don't care for pie crust, so I just make pie without it, or do a crisp or cobbler. But if you like it, figure out a way to make it fit into your calorie goal.

I am 5'1, 52 and reached my goal weight 2 months ago after losing 68 pounds in just over 2 years. I believe it was harder for me being older, but only because I was set in my habits of overeating almost my whole life. So I had some work to do to create new habits of moderation and in general a healthier relationship with…

Did you hire your PT for training or diet help too? I would suggest being clear with him/her about what you have hired them for. If you asked for help with diet, then be clear that the plan they have given you is too restrictive.

Congratulations on taking control of your life. Alcoholism is a tough one to deal with, and not only have you made your life better but any of your loved ones are no doubt feeling better too. Keep up the great work.

Congratulations! It's so great that you did this by changing your habits, I believe that is the best way to ensure keeping the weight off.

I hit my goal weight about a week ago, taking over 2 years to get there. My plan is to not log forever, but just like I had to learn new habits to lose, I am now learning how to eat without logging. I started 2 weeks ago taking one day to not log, last week I didn't log 2 days, and this week I am going to not log…

The kind that is real butter.

I went to VS to buy some new stuff after losing weight, and couldn't get even eye contact with the sales staff after walking through the entire store twice. I even said excuse me to 2 employees, again not even eye contact, they just walked right by. And they weren't swamped with customers. So I took my business to…

I reached menopause the same year I started losing weight, and have now lost 67 pounds. I think losing weight in general is hard, keeping it off is hard, but I don't think it's any more difficult in menopause. It's all about finding the calorie deficit that gives you results, without being too restrictive. If you are…

I've had my Fitbit One for a couple of months now, and am near my goal weight. I think it really depends on what you want to do with a fitness gadget. For me, I just wanted to track steps to make sure I was staying active throughout the day, and for tracking sleep as I have always had some sleep issues. I didn't care about…

This right here is excellent advice.

Sounds like you may need to consider a diet break for a week or two, and lightening up on the aggressive weight loss goal of 2 pounds per week. I don't think one needs to suffer when losing weight, and it sounds like you are miserable.

I used to think I was. Just over 2 years ago I started logging on MFP, and over time I have learned moderation and portion control. I realize now that what I thought was sugar addiction, was just my own difficulty with food choices and when to say no to more food. It has been a gradual change, and there are certainly still…

It is difficult to express sympathy at a time like this. Not only have you lost your father, you have lost any hope of having a better relationship with him. I am truly sorry and you have my sympathy and deepest condolences.

Congrats to you! :flowerforyou:

It really depends on what kinds of activities you like. I went to Belize and loved the Mayan Ruins (we did Xunantunich but there are others that I'm sure are good), snorkeling, and the highlight of the trip was an adventurous cave tour, the Actun Tunichil Muknal cave. I've heard the zip lining is fun. Again, really depends…

I wanted to track steps and sleep, so went with a Fitbit One. I've had it for a month, and I like how it clips on my pants or bra. I chose not to go with a bracelet style, as I was concerned I would get tired of seeing the same thing on my wrist day after day.

Congratulations on how far you've come and your commitment to taking it further. Your hard work shows and your confidence shines through. :flowerforyou:
