c25k is a great program. I am a slow runner! 14 minute miles but I love it! I entered a 5k in April with intentions of walking 1st and 3rd mile and ended up running the entire thing. My first one I did was when I was 43 and it was 52:10 In April I did a 5K on Apr 1 in 48:10 then a 10K in 1:30:27 and another 5K in 43 and change! Don't worry about the time just have fun and enjoy the race. ohhhh and don't wear your race shirt during the race! Save it to wear afterwards!

My dad owns a trophy shop here in town. He makes me medals and plaques for all four of the races I have done....I am going to have him make me one of those plaques with many engraved plates on it so I can have him engrave the race name/distance/date and my time on it! I am 44 years old. Give me shiny things!!!!

The important thing is don't wear your race shirt during the race! That way you can wear it the rest of the day and say....why yes....I did it just this morning!
