There are actually quite a few boxes in my area but I go to Crossfit Village Berwyn Berwyn, Pa Owned and ran by some great people. Still starting up so classes are small and they help your work on form vs lifting heavy and getting hurt. http://www.crossfitvillageberwyn.com/

I did my first Murph on monday .. Finished in 64:39 My box broke it down as the following: 1 mile run 5 pull ups 10 push ups 15 squats x20 1 mile run Using a band for pull ups and modded my push ups about halfway through .. I don't have T-Rex arms thankfully but I am feeling those squats today!

I'm doing this tomorrow, my coach stated that you can go solo or partner it up. I gather I'm going solo but will need to modify the pull ups and maybe the push ups in later rounds. I plan on taking my partner so he can drive me home after as I figure my arms are going to be dead .. This is my first.. hopefully not my last…

When I bought my food scale and started using it at home, my mom and sister both would give me strange looks or poke fun at me. They thought because I was weighing my food that I was eating less, fast forward to 1.5 years later and the comments have stopped for the most part. It's something I use as a tool to help learn…

I think this different for everybody, when I initially hit maintenance I was still logging every day / every meal. Eventually mentally I hit a wall and couldn't accept that logging was going to be an 'for the rest of my life' thing. I had to test what I've learned about portions, eating, etc to see if this is something I…

I'm with most people here that suggest that you try eating at or a little above maintenance and lift. I've just hit maintenance and started incorporating less cardio, more weight based training and ended up about 5 pounds heavier than I thought I wanted to be and my clothes fit the same if not better...

Anyone can feel free to add me, I've been maintaining since January with a variance of +/- 5 pounds. I log Mon - Fri and take off on the weekends but do check in so I can keep my number of days logged in going.. I don't always eat the best but hey this is life right? I go to the gym about 4-5 days a week and tend to be…

I've been in 'maintain' mode sine January, feel free to add me. What has really helped me is not logging on the weekends, I don't take it as 'cheat' days as I still try to be aware of portions, etc. But sometimes it's nice having that mental break from weighing/logging etc. Once I hit what I felt was a good weight for me,…

So I think this comes down to placement. I've gotten tattoos on my arms/forearms and worked out the next day. I would NOT cover it after the initial 2 - 4 hour wait time of getting a tattoo unless instructed by my artist, and even then they suggest that you only do it at night and at most for 3-4 days. I wouldn't keep from…

I just hit my goal weight and have decided to take weekends off from logging. I've been logging daily for almost a year, this included holidays, special events, etc. I weigh myself generally on mondays (where I expect to be heaviest) and fridays (where I expect to weigh the least), and so far I've managed to maintain and…

If you're going to do any sort of fall/winter running, I'd advise investing in at least a ColdGear layer. I think it's called something different for every manufacturer, but basically you want something that's going to help you maintain your warmth. .I have found bargains on cold running gear at Marshalls and the like,…
