I started having skin infections. I burned my stomach and the skin would not heal because of the way it was stretched.

Swelling is going down. I go in on Monday to have the drains removed. I think it’s weird the drains are in my hips, but they are doing their job...

It is definitely as painful as it looks. But, looking ahead to the long game makes it easier to bear.

I’m out of surgery, waiting in recovery for my room and in a lot of pain. It’s the first day of the rest of my life.

My insurance is Medicare... so for anyone out there that has been told they won’t cover it... they will. As long as it is medically necessary.

It’s your starting BMI that counts. My sister had bypass at 200lbs. No co-morbidities.
