I agree 100%. Alcoholism left me with nothing but extra pounds, malnutrition and a lot of regret. I doubt I would have been able to lose a single pound if I hadn't sobered up.14 -

Everybody's calorie goal and expenditure is gonna be different. Your best bet is entering your stats into MFP and setting it to a realistic rate of loss per week and an activity level that's accurate…1 -

calories are the only thing that can make you gain weight. It doesnt matter if they come from protein,fat, carbs or alcohol.12
