Losing weight is good, in any amount. At a current weight of 197, losing 4-8 pounds in a month would be a realistic expectation. "Barely losing" is still losing. :)1 -

Perhaps don't focus on the end goal. Would it help to think about the first 5-10 pounds, tracking your calories in, and being in control of food by planning, choosing what to eat?1 -
