Thank you Linda for your prayers kindness and encouragement in which I thank God!
This week: Thursday September 15 I have a follow up with my Surgeon then Friday September 15 Iโm at Cancer Clinic to see my Melanoma Oncologist, scans and treatment and discuss the treatment I will have with new specialist regarding the issues with face and mouth that need re-training to learn how to function after all the multiple surgeries.
I leave this week in Godโs Hands as He knows whatโs best for me. God is Good all the time. God is Faithful!1 -
It sounds like a busy week! We will pray extra hard for your endurance and the doctor's wisdom.0

Linda, that was so sweet of you wanting to send a real plant to my house. I so wish we all lived closer to each other and could visit, sharing and even bringing our garden flowers to one another.0 -
I heard from the Surgeon I have been waiting on for the Scope for the throat, esophagus and stomach, they finally found space and a hospital to do the test, they are doing the Scope on November 7th.
I received a 2nd call from them yesterday asking me to discuss the procedure with my Surgeon who did last 2 surgeries to make sure he gives the go ahead. My Surgeon can call him to discuss what he feels is best for me.
I see my Surgeon on Thursday the 6th of October. Thank you for your prayers for Godโs wisdom and direction and His Will to be done in this procedure. Thank you all. ๐โค๏ธ๐1 -
i'm glad they are getting to do these procedures. God has his timeline for our best.1

Thank you Linda, and I say a hearty Amen, Indeed God sure has His Timing for all things. Appreciate your support and prayers. ๐ฅฐ
And please know as you are praying for me I continue to pray for you and your family. ๐โค๏ธ0 -
My apologies for such a detailed long info for prayer: Hope it helps you to see where I am in my ongoing treatment and follow up plan.
On Monday the 25th of October proved to be a challenging day as what I thought was going to be 1 appointment ended up with 2 more. From my Family Doctor then had an online call with a Pathologist at the Cancer Clinic & then the Gastroenterologist Specialist who is doing the Scope.
Both Family Doctor and Gastroenterologist agree Scope will be done in the New Year as I am still in recovery from the last two surgeries that will take me into the New Year.
I have Follow up appointments with my Surgeon as my face continues to react to graphs and flaps with excess skin removal and my lips and nose shifting out of place, right now nothing is settling down. I am being watched very closely my Melanoma Oncologist who did treatment and skin removal when I saw him on the 16th of October and my Surgeon. I see Surgeon next on November 3rd for follow up care.
Last appointment there was talk of next stage of treatment with doing injections on face and lips to hopefully promote healing that hasnโt responded as yet. The injections will likely start late December or early new year.
I am waiting on a further call from Cancer Clinic regarding when my in person appointment will be. The specialist who treats the issues with voice, swallowing, speech and how my face now functions after 5 surgeries, will have mega tests done before therapy can start, they treat patients that have head and neck cancers that effect lips mouth and face like mine;
Thank you for your continued prayers. I sure need Godโs continued Grace and Strength as I navigate these next treatments that will be done. You all are so appreciated. โค๏ธ๐1 -
Earlier this afternoon I had my online appointment with the Pathologists from the Cancer Clinic. They initially see their patients online first for the initial assessment then they get you in within 1 to 2 weeks later in person so the assessment can be completed so treatment can begin regarding the Face Function and Swallowing issues I have had after multiple treatments and surgeries.
They were quite concerned after seeing me and the reports that were sent to them from my specialists and said I really need to be seen soon.
I was told the Booking Assistant would call me with an in person appointment as soon as possible. However, I was warned that they have a little bit of a wait list but told me they will tell the Booking person I really need to be seen quickly and soon.
Please pray a date and time will come available as soon as possible.
Thank you for your prayers and support.๐โค๏ธ2 -
I have a Praise Report
I heard from the Cancer Clinic early Friday evening at 5:00pm that the Pathologist had an appointment available and would see me Monday November 21st for a 1 hour appointment.
I am thrilled that after having my online appointment last Monday the 14th they said they needed to get me in soon but were concerned about wait lists and there could be a delay getting me in!
Well, Praise God, the Mountains were moved and 1 week later I get an appointment! God is Good and He is Faithful! ๐โ๏ธ2 -
We serve a powerful God!1

we are having a storm, wind storm! I was going to post it tomorrow but I came back as I still have power!
I was diagnosed with a condition that happens to head and neck cancers who have treatment and surgery which affects swallowing, normal jaw movement to open mouth and have normal face function.
Basically they can only train the mouth opening and face function as far as the surgery will allow.
They will do their best with seeing me regularly and do the treatments and physio they can and also see when Surgeon does the injections to relax the surgical area to promote recovery and healing so function can be improved.
They also have to keep in mind I am still in recovery and still deal with disease on face and trying to recover from last surgeries, the face and mouth are still reacting to graphs and flaps which also constricts the proper movement.
The Pathologist feels I can probably get better swallowing and mouth function to hopefully eat soft foods and hopefully lead up to a more normal diet but itโs going to take a lot of treatment and physio. The Pathologist said that canโt be started until sometime in the New Year due to me still being in recovery.
It is frustrating but in spite of that; I am going to Trust the Lord and keep my eyes on Jesus! ๐โ๏ธ๐2 -
Judith - with our God helping you and our prayers supporting you, I expect your recovery to surprise the doctors with the final result.1
-
What a long term challenge, dear Judith. The Lord knows what is happening and will bless. Praying for answers, good response to physio and other treatments and for your goal to normalise your diet as much as possible. Praise God you got a quick appointment. ๐๐1

We just heard this morning that our SIL's grandfather committed suicide this morning. Although we did not know him well, we are in shock and grieving with the family that is left. Please pray for our daughter and SIL as they tell our grandchildren this afternoon.1
