Chloe, Weeds started out great...but I gave up on the last few seasons.

I agree. It got old. I am currently watching Lost on Netflix.

I am so glad it is Friday. Working on the dog run all weekend. Drinking in moderation.

Last night was on large Diet Gingerale and Vodka. Then Ritter was in my lap all cute and boy dog cuddly and Doug was asleep so I could get up and so I didn't refill. That's one way to keep the drinking down.

Had 2 glasses of wine last night and poured a third but didn't feel like it so it's currently sitting in the fridge. Went with the future mother in law (who already got her dress for the wedding) my gram and mom to pick out their dresses and they found some great ones

Back home now and since I'm home early I'm going to work out before the fiancé gets home but first some water and hoping this headache goes away before the work out.

Not sure if we'll be going out to dinner or staying in but there will be drinks but paced drinks as I've been doing.

    Happy Friday all :drinker:

    Hiyalushes,

I agree about Weeds, enjoyed the first couple seasons, but then Nancy turned very unlikeable and I was almost hoping they would off her. Haven't watched the last season yet. I have been watching Frasier lately. I know it's old, but it cracks me up. Absolutely  The Tudors. Dexter is on my list also.

So I was going for zeros until today, but climbed aboard the fail boat once again and had a couple glasses of wine last night. Slept like crap, and every time I lay my head down the phone rings. These stupid political calls are making me go mad. I don't answer them, but I must get 6 or 7 a day. I should just get rid of my land line, but I can't bring myself to do it. Anyways Have a marvelous weekend lushes...be good in whatever you decide!

I watch a lot of TV. I liked Weeds, but I think I am waiting on season 5 now to come to Netflix, I agree Nancy is not always likable and Doug, hate that guy. I did not like Dexter, I guess he was not very likable and his sister and girlfriend were insufferable, I made it two seasons for that one. I am really liking Breaking Bad and finishing up the fourth season on Netflix, while recording the fifth on AMC. I am watching the Tudors also, but I am not sure I like it. I find it hard to hear and it bothers me that it isn't accurate, like I should at least be learning something, but they made a mostly fictional account, it seems to me-for instance he had two sisters not one and she married the kind of France, he died, she didn't kill the king of portugal as shown; and Anne Bolyn's sister Mary had his *kitten* son and the child did not die.
Historically, I loved Sopranos, Desperate Housewives was good at one time, too.
I got sucked into Ghost Whisperer on reruns on WE...
oh, but I drank several drinks Wed and 5 beers yesterday.

I *almost* added when I commented on The Tudors that if you're a stickler for historical accuracy, it may not be for you. I never went into it with those expectations, but I know many who did and it bothered them a lot.

Breaking Bad is the best show on TV right now IMO.

Oh. and I'm drinking tonight...AND having shrimp tacos. Looking forward to both.

As far as The Tudors go, the accuracy did bother me some...but who am I kidding, I was totally watching it for the eye-candy:blushing:

Was planning on having a drink or two tonight, but right now I don't feel like it...weird.

Syd - Spicy shrimp tacos are one of my favs, especially if they have lime cilantro sour cream and a pitcher of margaritas.

Tv talk .. Here it goes .. Couldn't get into the Tudors, love SOA, love Californication, love Dexter, love Mad Men, watched a bit of Weeds but then stopped, love Breaking Bad, in love with Damages right now and I'm sure I'm forgetting some but my brain isn't functioning yet haha.

Split a bottle of wine with the fiancé at dinner then we came home and each had 2 scotches while watching Damages and then went to bed, up for a little while now and feeling good  This whole listening to myself and stopping thing is great! I love not having hangovers haha

Took yesterday as a rest day as I had a headache and ended up napping because of it so today I'm going to log an hour on the bike as soon as we get something to eat.

Hope everyone else is having a great weekend as well so far :flowerforyou:

I have a food hangover today. I ate waaaaay too much. Moderated on the drinking. Hoping a good workout and lots of water today will help with the scale inching up this morning.
    Happy weekend everyone!!

1 or 2 too many drinks last night with the fiancé left me with a tiny hangover this morning but not an all day one. I'm thinking pad Thai for lunch but we will see what the other half wants.

    Happy Sunday all

Well hmmmph. I have eased up considerably on the drinking since I've been back and REALLY stepped up the exercise routine. Yes..I've had more food than usual..but overall it's been healthy stuff.
And I've gained 2 pounds. :grumble:

I may have to go back on the road...drink like a fish, eat innout burgers and stop exercising. That seemed to work better for me.

Friday-1 vodka and citrus crystal light, 1 shot of bourbon, and 1 BIG glass of wine
Saturday-probably about 1 1/2 bottles of wine, in total....some white, some rose and some red.
    Sunday-2 1/2 beers
Monday-not sure, I don't feel like crap from the weekend so might have some wine...we'll see!!!
Monday again and of course, as usual, I am looking forward to the weekend. Hoping to take friday off to go down the shore in the morning, let's hope things stay quiet at work!!!

It was a moderate weekend. Watched a lot of Olympics and worked on the dog house and did some cleaning. I had vodka with watermelon and a couple of shock tops but not a ton. I ate really salt laden food (brats for dinner and biscuits and gravy for breakfast) so the scale was up this morning. I will drink a ton of water today and we shall see how it goes. DH is talking about possibly giving up alcohol altogether. I am not sure how I feel about that. I realize we both have a slight problem but I am not ready to give it up. I don't think he really is either but he is thinking about it.

    Have a great day lushes!

Sunday, ended up being very, very lushy...had nephew and his girlfriend visiting from...drank from bar, to bonfire, to hot tub

    Monday, 0

Tuesday, we are heading for the casino for our free hotel night, 2 for 1 buffet and I am sure cocktails

Robin, I think it would be very hard to give it up completely. Doesn't he realize that you are Mama Lush? What would we do without you?

SoCal...yes, drinking and eating out just might be the answer...I'll give it a try

Wine last night, a bottle or so paced throughout the night while stuffing wedding invitations  Ate more than I have been this weekend thanks to the fiancé so I'm feeling a bit gross. Started the day with a tropical shakeology made with almond coconut milk and am now having a coffee. I'll be feeling back to normal by the end of the day

This is the bad week for the fiancé at work so it'll be lushy for me but I've come to the conclusion I do not want to go back to overdoing it again. I've really liked being able to enjoy drinks without going crazy and then having a hangover and or not remembering things.

    Here's to another week :drinker:

    Friday=1 beer
Saturday=3 beers and 2 white russians
Sunday=1 big beer, 3 bottles and a vanilla vodka and coke
Not sure how this week will shake out.

I would have a hard time not drinking. I had a friend suggest this is why I don't have kids, that I couldn't quit drinking for 9 months! ha, well, that is the least of it, but... I also saw where being an alcoholic isn't about how much you drink it's more about the reasons and the impact on your life. I watch Intervention, they aren't intervening on people who sustain gainful employment and healthy relationships.
