Just wondering if any of you post c-sec moms have lost that infamous muffin top. i absolutely hate it, but i do not know if it is physically possible to tighten that part of the abdomen enough. I carried my babies all up front--like someone shoved a basket ball under my shirt.
has anyone had success or not had success with this?

Not sure of your body type before pregnancy, but I've been overweight for a while. I have4 children and the last 2 were delivered via c section. I was at 227 when I delivered the last one in July of last year. I'm at 162 now and its just depressing what my tummy looks like unclothed! I'm sure its due more to my being overweight but I hope as I continue to lose, it goes somewhere!! About an inch or two below my belly button is still numb. I'm sure for people without such a huge weight problem before would have less trouble looking "normal" again.0

i carried my babies all up front--as in i looked like a stuffed a basketball under my shirt. i don't have any numbness issues. i just wonder if that 'muffin top' will ever go away. i don't know if that skin was just so stretched that it will never be smooth again--i am not going for 6 pack abs. i just don't like the pendulum looking belly.0

2 kids, 1 c- section, no issues. I carried very low though, so the incision was right above my hooha. Use virgin coconut oil on your skin to help rejeuvenate it. It works!!
**no issues losing the muffintop0 -
I'm at my pre-pregnancy weight and the muffin top has definitely decreased, but it's still there. It doesn't look that bad, though. I still have some numbness, but that's getting better, too. Mostly I think it's just the little bump of skin right above the scar that bugs me. Overall, I wouldn't let the muffin top or the the bump make me feel uncomfortable if I were naked or in a bathing suit. I probably won't wear a bikini, but that's not something I would have done before the c-section, either, so no loss.0

I had a c-section in early Jan of this year. I've lost the baby weight plus an extra 10, but that muffin top is still there. I know it's in part due to still being very over weight, but my skin is saggy and that pouch hasnt budged in the past couple months. I think with time and exercise it will go down.0

Hi! I had 2 c-sections but I am at the beginning of my weight loss journey. I am about 20 lbs. overweight and it seems so much harder after my 2nd child. I used to be able to make a small change and drop 5 lbs. but not anymore. I do have the muffin top and the small apron. I can't wait to feel good about myself again and not self-conscious naked.0

I've had 2 sections. The newest one 4 months ago. I still have about 60 pounds to lose. I have a huge pouch below the belly button.0

3 pregnancies, 2 childbirths, 1 c-section, 1 HUGE muffin top. Worse part of my body. It's the reason I started this weight loss journey. So far nothing, but I am early in my journey.0

My c-section was 8 months ago, and the muffintop is still there...but I have noticed the stretch marks are disappearing as I lose, so I am hoping that means that the muffin top will go away too!0

I had a c-section 10 years ago, and it's still there. I can tell you this, as someone who has been there and looked at all options after I lost weight and got to my goal and also as a nurse: you need surgical intervention to fix this completely. If you have had the horizontal c-section that is most common, they pull the muscles and ligaments apart to get the baby out. You can have this repaired but you have to see a speacialist. Also, like in my case, if you had a emergency c-section, they might have cut through the muscles- which is even worse. O.o0

I have 4 sons, ages 14, 12, 10, and 4. #1 and #4 were c-sections, with #4 being an emergency c-section. He weighed 10 1/2 lbs. My whole stomach has changed, and I think that no matter how much weight I lose, I will always have a pouch.
i am trying to aim at a healthy weight and feeling good about myself.
Plus, if I always have a pouch, I always have something to blame my kids for - hah hah!0 -
I've had 2 c-sections in the past 2 years, the most recent 5 months ago, plus an appendectomy 3 months ago! I'm not as worried about my "muffin top" as I am about just losing the extra weight to be healthy. I just want to keep up with my crazy kids!
Best of luck!0 -
When I had my c-section, I was Very overweight, which probably contributed to my stomach being stretched out even more. Its been 1 1/2 years now, and I've lost 80lbs, and look fine everywhere EXCEPT my tummy pooch. The skin there is very loose still and I doubt its going to change, but if I wear my pants just so, it hides the loose skin that hangs over0

I've had 4 pregnancies, 1 emergency c-section and 1 abdominal hysterectomy. My muffin top isnt going anywhere. I decided to put a lil aside each month for a tummy tuck, which will take a long time to save up for, but its motivation for me to keep the weight off so I can have the best results from the tuck.0

I have numbness too..
When your nerves reconnect it should get better. It may take a little while. Don't worry!0
