Day 2 - Cardio Power and Resistance

Well, I'm finally getting over the feeling that I want to puke after that workout. Wow. That was intense. I mean that in the best way possible. I've been saying for years that I wish I could go back to the hard core conditioning we used to do in basketball in high school. My prayers have been answered. It was so hard while I was doing it but I'm so proud of myself now for DOING it!
One thing Shaun T said really stuck with me. He said that this is circuit training and that it's important to get your heart rate DOWN so that you can bring it back up. I had to take a little longer breaks to do that but I felt that when I jumped back in, I could go a little bit longer, a little bit faster and a little bit stronger than if I hadn't taken a little longer break.
I'm pumped that tomorrow is Cardio Recovery. I've heard that its not quite as intense!

Aww, crap. I meant to put DAY 3 in my subject and now I'm not sure how to change it. Oops.0

I had to do the same thing with taking a little longer breaks and I'm so sore! But now that I'm done I'm so pumped I did it and finished! On to day 4!0

It's so nice to hear him say and offer breaks. That one was hard for me and I definitely felt pukish. lol. I hope tomorrow is somewhat easier. I am very glad to have gotten through it! My oh my!! My body is feeling sore today from everything so far this week. Anyone else sore?0

Well, I just missed the garbage can and seriously contemplated leaving the garbage on the floor. Does that answer your question? :laugh:0

Day 2 - rough, but I pushed thru. The great thing is the ability to go at your own pace, but still feel good enough to push yourself just that little bit extra. I was sore this morning, but glad I did it! Since I did it at midnight, I had the best night's sleep I have had in a great while too. Anyone know how we would add this into the exercise options for our logs in MFP? I was only able to put in High Impact Aerobics.
Woops! this one belongs on the other Day2, but either way on to Day 3 tonight!!!0 -

Today was tough. It really was a reminder that I am far from my high school soccer days. I was always very active in sports growing up until college. After 2 kids and little to no athletic activity my endurance has hit an all time low. But, it can only get better from here right?!?
I am super happy that I pushed myself to exercise during the kids nap time. 10pm is way too late for me. Cheers to an early bedtime for me0 -
Nice job everyone!!! Way to push through!
I'm pretty sure that I could sleep for days. I did my mile walk on my morning break at work, Insanity at lunch, mile walk on my afternoon break at work and then played three softball games for our league tournament tonight. There was no way I could even come close to eating back all of my exercise calories and I ended the day with more than I started with. I had better get a good breakfast in tomorrow and start the day right!
ETA - sorry again for screwing up the thread title. Does anyone know how we can change that to read "Day 3"?0 -

OMG YES! Yesterday at the office I was walking as if I had ridden a horse for 3 days... today it's a whole new muscle group of soreness, so should be interesting. However... we owned it!0 -
I noticed he said that too but I wasn't sure by how low he meant it?
Whats the recovered heart rate?
My heart rate during the workouts would stay consistently between 150-160. When I recovered it would go down to high 130/low 140s. Is that appropriate?
Thanks!0 -
So sadly I only got a few hours sleep on Tuesday night, so I skipped yesterday because I was whipped. Did this workout today, and yea, I felt a litlte sick after the jumps and the globe jump combos. Kicked my butt. But afterwards, I was ready to do more!!! Maybe because I had a 5 shot starbucks this morning lol....
Ready for tomororw!!!0 -
Did this workout this morning and it was HARD! I didn't burn as many calories as the first day or by the fitness test and I expected that. There were some moves ( the tricep dips in particular) I couldn't do, my arms aren't strong enough yet. I also could NOT do the moving push-ups! Other than that my knee was locking up so I didn't go as hard as I wanted but I still got a great work out and was dripping sweat when I was finished, I just had to take more breaks than usual so my heart rate didn't stay elevated.
I'm so EXCITED for cardio recovery tomorrow :-) WTG guys half way through week 1!0 -

Yea, I burned about 40 calories less w/ this one than the last one too. Totally ready for cardio recovery (hopefully the word recovery in the title doesn't mean we'll need lots of recovery afterwards lol)!!!
GOOD WEEK GUYS!0 -
Did my workout at 11:30 pm and couldn't go to sleep until about 1:30. But I did it. Six days a week of Insanity workouts is intense. But at this point in my fitness, I'm no longer sore, so I push through.
Does anybody else absolutely love the moving pushups, the in-and-outs or the Level 1 Drills? I sincerely do. They're my favorites.0
