8/2/2012 Truthful Thursday

This morning I didn't have time to make myself any breakfast. So I stopped by Hardee's to get an egg and cheese biscuit. As I'm leaving Hardee's I felt SO guilty and awful. I opened the bag only to find it was the wrong sandwich and had meat on it! Employee error helped me when my self-discipline was weak.

Oh, and I snacked on two pieces of delicious buttery toast last night around 10... I was still hungry. :( Mehhhh.

Last night I didn't have energy to to make dinner and the kids were driving me crazy. My boyfriend offered to take care of dinner, and he ordered Papa John's pizza; I was going to eat only 1 slice and then finish with a salad or something. I ate 3 pieces, though, and almost a full cup of their delicious garlic butter dipping sauce. Luckily, though, I only went over my caloric budget by 400 some-odd calories and I was under nearly that amount the day before - so, I like to think it evens out. I haven't had a good pizza like that in months, and it was soooooo delicious!

I took the kids to McDonalds yesterday & topped off our grocery shopping trip with a stop at Sonic for a Rt 44 vanilla coke. I was still under my calorie goal for the day, but it was crappy food. I didn't even finish my meal at McDonalds because I felt gross eating it. I can't tell you how much this site has helped me...

Recent findings are saying that if you limit yourself to ONE cheat day a week, it can actually help your weight loss. Basically, by doubling your usual caloric intake, your body's metabolism goes into hyperdrive and burns 9 times the calories!

So, don't feel too bad about one cheat day. Just make today worth it! Today is today! :)

The bad choice for the week had to have been the half of a fried dough I had yesterday at a outdoor event in my town :-( I was still under my calories and everything but it definatelly didn't settle very good and felt really guilty afterwards.
