Officially MUCH better at tennis than me. -=Sigh=- He is going to kick by butt this summer. In less than 1 year, he is officially a 3.5.

My other half is not a tennis player at all. I met her just 6 months into my 8 year sabbatical, so she never really saw my tennis side either until last year when I started again.

My partner in life and on the court, especially love when we manage to get a set from our two twenty something mixed doubles kids!

...a tennis player - but still doesn't beat me very often :). My favorite times are when we play family tennis with our girls. I love that he knows the game because when I walk off the court from a match that he's watched, he's the only one who gives me honest feedback on how I looked out there. He can pinpoint body language, offense/defensive hitting stances, my serve etc. It's priceless!

I hope some of you get a chance to play today!

Mine played some when he was young then got really into it the last few years, which has been fun. He's a 3.5 which is quite impressive given he didn't play at all 5 years ago...but thankfully he's not a 4.0 yet so I usually beat him when we actually play a set. :) I'm used to playing women, so it takes me a few games to remember how stinking tall he is when I try to lob it over or pass him at the net...lol!!

non player. Doesn't understand why I love to hit so much.

She is good about supporting me when I lose a match or comes out to watch me play during the big matches (e.g. City Finals, etc.)

    a tennis lover!!

He didn`t play at all, just as a kid whacking balls around like most kids did.
I played as a kid, and retired when I was about 17 or 18. I`ve always loved tennis, and followed the pros and watched it on tv, but never played. 2 years ago, I got the urge to buy a new racquet even though I hadn`t played in years. In the spring of 2011, him and I started playing, and have been die hard since. He has improved so drastically its unreal. He couldn`t put a serve in play ever, now he blasts aces past me constantly. He has worked hard, practiced A LOT, and beats me on a regular basis, and I`m a fairly strong player. He makes me proud. He gets down when he goes through a slump, but he always fights through it. We are eachothers practice partners, and coaches. He watches my tournament matches and we have little meetings afterwards to discuss what I did well, and not so well. I`m hoping he`ll play some mixed doubles tournaments with me this summer!!

So, tie his shoe laces together when he isn't looking. Simple.
