Hello from Vancouver WA!

Hi all, just found PNW group and very glad to be here! MFP has been a great boon for my weight-loss program.
I am 67 yrs old, retired and moved from SF Bay Area. I have learned that staying indoors during the l-o-n-g rainy season is not good for me, to say the least! We have gotten used to walks in the rain. This winter I added Tai Chi workouts to my fitness plan, and that has made all the difference, especially in my energy levels and mental health. It is finally April and we can get started on our magnificent vegetable garden, but it has been a long wait. Looking forward to learning about more ways to enjoy life in this wonderful beautiful area.

Hello, I am also a Vancouver....transplanted from the SF Bay Area (mid-Peninsula).

Yes, these long winters do make getting/staying in shape a challenge.

Plus layering my clothes for warmth also tends to hide any weight gain, so I am slower to notice if I am not careful.

But, yes, the weather should start to warm up soon, and I am really looking forward to hiking again!

I'm just across the river from you, in Portland. Drive up to Salmon Creek every Sunday to play soccer at SC INdoor Arena.

I live in vancouver, WA also
Lacamas lake and lacamas trail are beautiful to go hiking.
I used to hiking in all kind of weather until I join 24 fitness club.
I'm sure my dogs are sad that I don't go hiking as much as I used to.

    Hello!

I too live in Vancouver, and just joined the site. I am looking forward to having support in this on-going journey.
I went to high school in this area, and am back living here again. I love to hike, swim, go for walks when I get the chance. I am looking to improve my fitness as well as get healthier in order to do more of what I enjoy.
