Alright - my boyfriend and I are going to the FANEXPO in Toronto in 2 weeks. I now have to figure out a costume and make it in that amount of time. WHO SHOULD I GO AS?!?!?!

what do you like?
my husband and I talk about dressing up as an Archer based group sometimes, but it would be impossible to tell that's what we were doing.0 -

Blonde (but I can get a wig. 5'7-5'8 - somewhat curvy...uh...pale as sin. Blue/green eyes...not sure what else would be needed...0 -
The question was "what do you like", not "what do you look like".0

Ha, yeah. I mean we can tell yuo to dress up as something but if you're not familiar/a fan I doubt it would be much fun for you.0 -
Dress up as whoever you like and who has a costume that is within your skills to make. I get most of the stuff for my cosplays by scouring through thrift stores and throwing stuff together. If you choose a character who has a pretty basic modern outfit it can be pretty easy. A bit more difficult in the fantasy genre.0

I agree, it's fairly open to interpretation are you going for fantasy or sci fi - my best advice based on making my costume is start sooner than later so you dont run out of time and end up throwing something together
Try and accessorise *swishes hair* with something you create yourself, for instance if it's a fantasy outfit, you can make leather wrist braces and shin guards pretty easily and cheaply too - my Skyrim Brotherhood costume is still on hold for Halloween until I finish my Res Evil one.
Give us some ideas and we will see what we can do for you....0 -

If I ever dressed up as something it would be as Nightcrawler from X-Men. However I don't have the body type nor the skills to make such a thing. I have given thought to dressing up as his BAMF! cloud though. In the comic books whenever Nightcrawler teleports he leaves behind a cloud with the letters "BAMF!" Shouldn't be too hard. Big puffy cloud costume, colored purple with big red BAMF! letters. I'd then secretly stalk other Nightcrawler cosplayers. he he he :bigsmile:0 -
Alright I finally figured out my costume. It's a character I am somewhat familiar with and like.
My only problem with deciding was that I am still not comfortable with my body and comic book characters don't wear a whole lot of anything...maybe next year I can do one I really love, but this year I am going as someone I like, respect and wears PANTS!0 -
Well come one don't leave us in suspense got to tell us who you decided on...

Go as Mario and Luigi. I've seen a couple couples do that before successfully.0
