 Hi everyone. I just joined MFP about 5 minutes ago (after finishing a 300 calorie chocloate bar). I've had it. I think that was my aha moment. I feel sick to my stomach right now and am excited about the new chapter in my life. I am 47 , but still feel 21 except for my knees. I thought I was "fat" in my 20's. I was 5 feet 7 inches and 145-150 pounds. I would love to be that weight again. Heck I would love to be in onederland again. Currently I weigh about 238 which qualifies me to play for the NFL I hope to get to know some of you ladies....your success stories inspire me. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

welcome! something just clicked for me at the beginning of June as well. I rejoined the local gym (for the 10th time since I have lived here for 17 years), but this time I signed up for personal training, and in my orientation for that, they required that I sign up for MyFitnessPal. I have really found this to be a super useful tool. I can eat whatever I want, but I need to be accountable and most of the time I am. I'm loving the weight coming off slowly and getting credit for the workouts that I do. I'm seeing and feeling a change, and you will, too! Good luck!0

Welcome! I've been on for about 3 wks now & have found a lot of support here as well. I lucked up on this site through the Wedding Wire site as one of the posters asked if any of the ladies was on MFP, So I joined and to my surprise it has been soo helpful for me. As said before you can eat what you want (as long as you log) and points for whatever type of excercise you can fit in and best of all theres something for everyone! So enjoy the ride, have fun with your progress and make plenty of friends. Feel free to friend me :blushing:0

The first step is always admitting you need to change and asking for help. You've done that! We're all here for the support we need to get there so don't be afraid to speak up and ask for help! Ultimately we're all here for the same reason... to get healthier.0

Hi i started last week. I have no support at home and I'm looking to find a buddy and add to my friends page. I have about 100 to lose but would be happy with 75 off as well.0

You got this and can definitely do it! I began MFP in January just before my 40th birthday. I have been counting my calories and working out regularly since. I'm happy to report that when I stepped on the scale this morning that I have officially lost 40 lbs. I still can't believe that I have made it this far, but I definitely couldn't have done it without MFP keeping me accountable. You can do it too! Keep the faith, don't give up and login everyday! Good luck on your new journey!0
