Got up for work this morning at 4:30, got ready, lunch packed by the girlfriend (thanks babe). Packed laptop bag....

...logged on to EVE to make sure I had a full day of skill training and manufacturing queued...

Yay I feel an addicition coming on!

*kitten*.

  • I need to try me that game, but I really don't have time for another addiction... with my current load of addictions, it's getting hard to fit everything in.

Being one that doesn't care much for MMOs anymore, I've gotta say that I love EVE Online. It's just so.. gorgeous! I love just flying around and pretending I'm actually piloting a space ship. ;_; It's a game that I keep going back to on and off over the years, when they have free trials, ha.

Oh man I remember that, it was such a pain I'd have little mini panick attacks "have to train! have to train!" Would sneak my laptop to work and log in for BF and check all his stuff, he'd give me a list of what to train next, it was demanding. loved the game but totally addicting and time consuming...I have little cravings of reinstalling it, but always talk my self out of it. Its a pretty amazing game though!

eve was fun while learning it, before realizing that everything is:
warp to location. click modules. warp back.

    ...but pvp. pvp is fun.
  • With Eve, is there any downside to not logging in? (Other than not getting your fix?)

E.g., some games (many mobile games, for instance) will ding you if you don't log in - your stuff will deteriorate because you're not maintaining it. But if it's just a question of not maximizing your growth, then I can handle that.

I've never played EVE, but I have a friend who does.

I *feel* like I play it vicariously through him though. He always has new stories of epic missions (PvP of course) he's participated in.
  • For most games, I'm really not a fan of PVP, but Eve might be different. I've never had the patience to be a munchkin around tweaking every little attribute so that I can beat other players in an arena type setting - just not my style. I like playing games and making up characters that I enjoy playing. Area type battles are so contraining, very little strategy, etc.

I love EVE! Sadly I don't get to play it as often as I used to and fear I'm gonna be booted from my Alliance >.< Pretty sure if I wasn't a Supercap pilot I'd be long gone already, haha.
