My "bank" has jumped because I've switched back to the pound a week goals instead of the 1.5 that I was trying at the beginning of the week because of the migraine all day yesterday & the "hangover" i've been dealing with all day today
and a quote:
might as well add a pic too. This is the only time I've successfully used the colorization feature on photoshop & had it work0 -

No NSV so here is a quote from the one we all want to hear from the most.
“Do I dazzle you?" I voiced my curiosity impulsively, and then the words were out, and it was too late to recall them.
But before I had time to too deeply regret speaking the words aloud, she answered "Frequently." And her cheeks took on a faint pink glow.
I dazzled her.
My silent heart swelled with a hope more intense than I could ever remember having felt before.” ~ Edward in Midnihgt Sun
On a Midnight Sun note... I REALLY wish she'd finish that book.0 -

That’s Edward. He’s gorgeous, of course, but don’t waste your time. He doesn’t date. Apparently none of the girls here are good-looking enough for him.

Quote (this always makes me smile)
"...so I started into Sense & Sensibility, only to remember after I began chapter three that the hero of the story happened to be named Edward. Angrily, I turned to Mansfield Park, but the hero of that piece was named Edmund, and that was just too close. Weren't there any other names available in the late eighteenth century? I snapped the book shut, annoyed..."
Comparing that to Edward's thoughts and sensations in the parallel passage of Midnight Sun is a treat!0 -
For the week:
Cardio. 182/109
Crunches. 192/96
Water 100% thanks to the decaf substitute allowance
Calorie banking, well if we don't count my splurge day, I came out with 23 calories to the good. I was very, very, very, very, bad on splurge Friday.
I watched New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn this weekend since I was feeling under the weather. Such a nice marathon! gave me ideas for our week 2 challenge!0 -
Week 1 Summary:
Water: 64 oz each and every day
Food: - 125 calories (I'm struggling and hubby's birthday didn't make it any easier!)
Cardio: 345/109 (A high number thanks to my prepping and painting yesterday.)
Crunches: 116/96
"Like everything in life, I just had to decide what to do with what I was given." - Carlisle Cullen, New Moon, Chapter 2, p.35
I chose this quote from Carlisle because it's kind of my motto these days. I'm struggling with a lot of things and I'm just trying to do the best I can with what I have to work with.
Had to edit to add my NSV: Today carrying in a big 24 pack of bottled water, I was tossing it around with ease to get it in the pantry. I commented to hubby that it's little things like that where I see the strength training is actually working.
Looking forward to next week!!0 -
For the week

Crunches 96/960 -
Week's End:

Cardio 381/109
Crunches 120/96
Food +18 calories
Yay, I loved reading the quotes (yes Twi, Carlisle is amazing!) and look forward to next week's challenge.
I think banking is paying off! Looking at a week's calories really seems like a good idea, because it's liberating while giving you incentive to be good.
Quote:
"I'll be the first to admit that I have no experience with relationships," I said. "But it just seems logical...a man and woman have to be somewhat equal...as in, one of them can't always be swooping in and saving the other one. They have to save each other equally...."
"You have saved me," he said quietly.
"I can't always be Lois Lane," I insisted. "I want to be Superman, too."0 -
End of Week One
Water 110 % (I really only said that to bug Sue, "There is no such thing -- 100% is 100%!"

Crunches 280 /96
Quote
His fingers were ice-cold, like he’d been holding them in a snowdrift before class. But that wasn’t why I jerked my hand away so quickly. When he touched me, it stung my hand as if an electric current had passed through us.
Bella Swan, Twilight, Chapter 2, p.45
I really enjoyed this first week of the challenge. Onward!0 -
