Waiting on Insurance approval, what torture!

Please someone, anybody talk to me about their experience with waiting on insurance approval. My paperwork was submitted and it's really trying my patience being in the land of the "unknown" I really could use some encouragement during this waiting game, thanks a bunch!

    hang in there gal. I'm one step behind you, our facility is in the hiring process for a new nutritionist. There is a 3+ month waiting list (I think I am in the November group) as soon as they get one hired...THEN it will be the insurance waiting period. I'm just trying to continue my weight loss as I wait. Figure if I can keep losing weight before surgery, it can only help. I really wanted to see if I could get under 300 lbs on my own (I started at 370 in June) so maybe it is just fate giving me the chance.
    Are you able to contact the insurance company and ask them the status?
