Hi All,
My name is Monica and I also am one of the many women that have PCOS. I have tried many things to manage it, including the metformin, low carb diets, low protein diets, cutting out all soda (still do this) and still cannot get below 150 (I am 5'2"). I have found that Ortho-Tri-Cyclen is the best BC for me after trying like a million different birth controls.
One of the worst issues for me is the hair...not only am I genetically predisposed to being hairy, while the PCOS does not help either. I have gone the wax route after trying laser and that not working.
Great to meet everyone!
Monica

Hey girl I know how frustrating it can be, I was having a frustrating day today! I've just started to watch my carbs and it can be so irritating and overwhelming. I maintained a weight I could get away with for a long time (while I played sports) but now I have to lose quite a bit. I hope you're getting encouraged on here! Love your username, add me if you want. God bless x0

Hey hun, I know it is frustrating. I just started my weight loss journey and have already seen set backs, but the key is to keep pressinging on. If you feel like your in a rut, change things up! Have dinner for breakfast and breakfast for dinner ( I love homemade pancakes and eggs for dinner). Try something new with your body like kettle bells (they can give you a great work out really fast) or biking. Just keep trying new things. Also one of the things Ive tried that has helped me a lot is CLA and a thermogenic supplement with workouts.
I know I have found the Nuva Ring my best friend for BC because its slow release keeps my body on track and I dont have to worry about taking a pill at the exact same time every day. It has really helped with my hormone and mood regulations. And I know what you mean about the hair.. I pluck my chin every day (I feel it lasts longer then shaving). You would think that modern medicine would come up with a way to retard hair growth since they disovered ways to promote it...0 -
