Week 12 Check In - August 23th

I wanted to get the topic posted for those of you wanting to weigh in this week. I personally am not having a good scale day, and will probably wait until tomorrow morning. TOM is upon me, I'm still not feeling back to myself, and waiting for test results to determine next steps in addressing my anemia.
*****RANT ALERT*****
I wish I could say that I am just plum disappointed in myself over how poorly I've done on this challenge. But then, as I think about it, while I am mildly discouraged, I am not defeated! I know I will get on track at some point, and that I am moving forward at a pace that is fitting my life at the moment. I also know I am close to a major milestone weight for me - a place that a year ago I thought I might not ever see again!
So I say to others in the same boat - don't worry about what others do, or how much faster someone may be seeming to lose - as compared to yourself. Don't fret over the things that people may say to you, or the advise they may give - because they think they are motivating or supporting you. I have a few of those folks in my life who think they are being all those things to me - but their words are so hurtful at times, and to me, sting worse than someone who just calls me fat to my face!
I'v let those people get to me, and make me think that they might be better than me...and guess what...they aren't! I can only DO ME! I may work at my issues at a slower pace, I may not lose as fast as others, I may not be breaking records in the gym attendance category. But I know I am doing better than I was even 6 months ago, I know I am motivated, I know I will get there...just at my own pace. And dammit, I'm ok with that!
RANT OVER - thanks for your patience!
Sharon

Sharon, In the same boat! 34 lbs you lost is HUGE! Hey, at least we are trying (most of the time). I am up in weight, but cant let it get me down. I will weigh myself tomorrow. Hope Im not up to much. Foot is feeling better so its time to start walking, only now the allergies are in full force with all the ragweed, etc we have here in MN.0

Down a pound, and don't think your ranting Sharon. I am grateful for a loss, but may not have any loss at all without this group challenge and a little accountability. So bless you and thank you! I hope you get to the bottom of your anemia, that can really drain a person.
thanks again,
Tammy :bigsmile:0 -

For all of you ladies out there- including myself- we cannot let the scale dictate our lives. We have to make the best choices we can at that point in our day, our week, our month, our life. Life has gotten in my way recently- but then I try to put it in reverse and go down the right road and not the wrong one time after time. This is a journey- not a race. I tell myself that everyday so I can do this one day at a time and not beat myself up to much. You ladies are my inspiration day in and day out- we are all wonderful ladies and don't let anyone else let you feel otherwise! OK- Off of my rant now
