Oh yeah, I knew it. LA sucks to date

I've always thought that too many choices means nobody wants to choose or they all want the top 2%. There is just too much to do here to think about settling down. Busy, busy.

There was nothing unique to LA in that article. You could have had the same article with the words Chicago, New York, Dallas, Houston or Philadelphia instead of Los Angeles.
In big cities, you can always find a date. But there's often a perpetually single crowd and it's often tougher to keep a date around when there are so many options.0 -
I live within a reasonable distance from LA, but in Orange county. I once read that something like 76% of LA daters won't date someone outside of LA itself because of the distance (in terms of traffic), so even though there's all these single people there within my dating radius, they might as well not exist.
I think a lot do want the top 2% as well, even though they themselves wouldn't rate that high (I like to aim much lower myself). I feel like there are a lot of really shallow people online looking for dates from what I read in their profiles.0 -
Totally agree that it could be any big city. Little towns don't have enough to choose from especially once people have already taken from the pool, and big city people have too many options. There is terrible traffic here so I understand not wanting a relationship with someone that will take 2 hours to see them even if it's only 20 miles. It just won't happen with work schedules and other social tasks. I never looked very far, has to be convenient or it's pointless. Someone will always be better looking or have more money, what can we do? lol0

As a person living in the middle of nowhere...you are still better with something (possible dates) then having nothing. (almost a 0 population dating pool.
Make the most of what you have! :drinker:0 -
haha at first when you wrote "LA" I thought you meant "Louisiana."
This is a horrible state to find a compatible man if you're a professional woman!0 -

Many big time career women are perpetually single, regardless of location.0 -
San Diego is pretty chill yo, I never have issues finding a date - just difficulties finding the type of guy I want to date.0
