I have been fighting with my weight since childhood. Found out I had pcos while having fertility treatments. Since 2007 I haven't really bothered with controlling my pcos, just felt sorry for myself. My bff who can eat what she likes and lose weight eating junk is getting married next Aug and I am her MOH. She has decided she wants us girls to wear strapless dresses :noway: All of a sudden it hit me...... I was going to be the chubby girl standing beside the Barbie Doll. So that was my real wake up call. I still want to have children but I am more concerned with controlling my pcos, gotta deal with the root of my weight problem first.

3 months ago I started seeing a naturopath and she has been wonderful, I am having much more success with the natural meds she has put me on. I WILL LOOK AMAZING IN THE STRAPLESS DRESS. I have buckled down on my eating habits, ditched the pop and have become more dedicated to the gym. I am feeling awesome so far.

I don't have much support from people who understand PCOS and how it affects a person. I find this group a breath of fresh air and gives me so much motivation and hope that I will reach my goal.

Feel free to add me if you need motivation or a friendly ear. It is a long up hill battle but it is amazing what can happen when we put our minds to it.

Hugs to all my fellow pcosers. xoxoxo

Welcome to the group! I know you will find a lot of support from fellow pcos ir sufferers here. I have found the natural methods of rebalancing my endocrine system in order to control pcos very very successful. I learned about natural control of pcos and ir from reading medical journals and studies. I'd be fascinated to compare notes with the advice from your naturopath. I wish you every success in reaching your goals and in time for your friends wedding. Xx

Im so excited to hear about your progress hun! Its very exciting. And I know you will be rockin that dress! For my wedding I am wearing a strapless too and have been doing some weight training to help sculp the arms and make them defined so they look great for my wedding. I figure any kind of muscle building also helps with the weight loss so let me know if you need any help coming up with some workouts for the gym to help you get healthier! Welcome!
