Good afternoon,
My name is Jaclyn, I am a 24 year old women who has personally experimented but am not a lesbian or bisexual. However, for my cultural communications class I have decided along with the three others in my group to present on the homosexual culture and the viewings of those in that culture. I am interviewing my closest friends that are gay/lesbians but thought it would be really cool to get insight from those around the world. I am not singling anyone out and you do not have to participate. It is optional and not intended to be offensive but informative to those who may be close minded. I have a list of questions for males and females and if you would like to answer them please let me know and I will post them on here. Thank you.

I presume this is strictly intended for classwork and not intended to be published as primary research?

    1. What held him back from coming out sooner and how did he feel others would react to the news? How did others react?

    2. Describe several typical stereotypes associated with being gay and why or why they are not accurate.

    3. What is the biggest hardship you face today? Dating? Work environment? Everyday life?

    4. How do you feel about a restaurant chain like Chick-Fil-A coming out and denouncing gay rights and gay marriage?

    5. How did mainstream society view you and how has this changed over the years?

    6. If there was something you would want mainstream society to understand better about you, what would it be?

    7. Does religion play a factor in your hardship or life?

    8. If you could change one thing to make life better for you what would it be?

    9. How has his life improved by being out? Have you been accepted?

    10. Have you lost any close relationships due to coming out?

These are the questions you can PM the answers, please let me know your take on the wording of the questions I have already been given a negative response due to my lack of understanding of the LGBT community. I want to be more understanding and get the right information so I can become more involved in this community. Thanks guys!! Oh and include your age and location :)
