I'm currently a medical student, which fortunately has always been my dream job. (I'll let you know if it still is after the night shifts and being on call...)

I love baking and I'm actually pretty good at it. (My victoria sponge cake is legendary!)
I've always wanted to try horse riding, but never have.
When I retire, I want a small holding in the country with a horse, a couple of dogs and some chickens!

This is my first post since joining both this group and, indeed, my fitness pal! Anyway here goes....

Tonyrefail (another little village in South Wales - they are only about 15 mins from each other!)

Tonypandy (yes you guessed it another little South Wales village - this one is in the middle between Llwynypia and Tonyrefail *lol*.
4. What is your current occupation? What is your dream occupation? I'm an accountant, financial and IT auditor. As for my dream job...I have no idea! I've had a few different jobs in my time (vets assistant, mortgage advisor, waitress, homeless charity worker, etc) and I've enjoyed them all. I guess as long as I can see the point in the job and I'm reasonably good at it so I don't feel I'm wasting my time or my employers then I'm happy
5. Tell us any 5 things about yourself 1) This year I've been married for 25 years, 2) I love cooking and food (hence the reason I need to lose weight) 3) I love nature, wildlife and the out doors - hiking is one of my hobbies that I wish I had more time to enjoy, 4) I'm slightly wild and a little crazy (see point 5 for proof), 5) This year while on holiday in Mexico I was involved in a paragliding accident - one of the guide ropes snapped, the metal harness clip slammed into my face and I fell 30ft into the sea. I was pulled from the water bleeding heavily from my face and rushed to hospital where I had 6 stitches in a cut on my nose (which, unbelievably, wasn't broken - hard head I guess. However this experience (which happened on day 3 of our holiday) didn't stop me....3 days after the accident I was climbing the pyramid in Coba (sunglasses hid the black eyes), 5 days later I was reef snorkelling (well they said the salt water would help the healing *lol*) and 7 days later I was zip lining. See crazy!!! 0 -

I'm currently a private tutor (English, 11+, piano, singing, music theory) and part time admin assistant for my parents' church, but I'm starting a MA in Medieval Studies at the end of the month- 20 days, argh!- not sure what my dream occupation is. A performer, probably, either acting in film or on stage or singing for a band. I also have this crazy dream of jacking in the academics and retraining as a Midwife.
I'll probably end up either doing a PGCE and teaching, like many Arts/Humanites graduates, or miraculously finding funding and doing a PhD and ending up as a dusty old academic somewhere. I'd love that PhD to be at a University in Sweden, Denmark or Iceland... Whatever I do, I'd like to be a published author on the side
