What are your absolute best, all-time, can't live without favorites in cosmetics?
foundation: Chanel matte lumiere
blush: Erno Laszlo - discontinued (
Mascara: chanel instant lash - discontinued
lipstick: chanel red #5 - also discontinued
eyeshadow: it was a claret color by Borghese - which I can't find anymore!
eyeliner: Bobby Brown gel liners

I think I need a new list - lol - all my fav stuff no longer exists...

I am not big on department store brands or fancy stuff :happy:0 -
MAC face and body foundation, I use it for everything, weddings, photos, even use it as a base when I do special effects makeup.....every other item I jump around a lot depending on my mood and what's new.0

Tarte "Smooth Operator" tinted moisturizer. I use this instead of foundation.
Lush "Celestial" moisturizer. All natural (and minimal!) ingredients, and a little goes a long way!
China Glaze nail colors. Idk why, but I just really, really love that brand.
Rimmel "Sandal eyes" mascara. Best mascara I have ever used, and I've tried many brands and types! I just got a sample of some new Lancome mascara, so we'll see how it fares, but so far, Rimmel's is THE best for me.
Urban Decay "Ink For Your Eyes" eyeliner. Sadly, I cannot find this in-stores anymore, only online. :frown: It's a cream liner that you apply with a brush...I've used other brands, but they just can't compare to this one.
Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush lip glosses. I'm not big on lip products, but I prefer these when I do use them.
Urban Decay Primer Potion eye shadow primer. I've used some other brands before, but Urban Decay's really works the best on me. Too Faced's is a close second.0 -
For me, Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation and Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Natural are the only two things that cannot be swapped for something else.0

Would the MAC foundation you mentioned help control oily skin?0 -
There are so many great products out there. So difficult to pick just a few!
I am a true Make-up addict. Just love trying out new products. A total sucker for Free Gifts with Purchase, perfume samples, etc.
Current favorites are NYX eyeliners. Have purchased 4 or 5 recently in varying shades. Black, of course, but also green, pink, onyxst (spelling?) deep purple, grey ... so many great choices and a super bargain when they have sales at Ulta. Lip liner Chanticaille Nuance (very difficult to find -- high end dept. stores only), Olay skin care (a moderately priced line), almost anything I can afford at Clarin's. Clarin's has specialty products that the other Department Store vendors don't seem to carry. Body balms, facial contouring products, lip treatments, that sort of thing. Pricey but excellent products.
Can go on and on. My fantasy gift? A gift certificate from Sophora. I'm not difficult to please!0 -

Me too! My boyfriend and I were already talking about Christmas, and he asked me what I wanted. I said I wanted a Sephora gift card. His response "really? a gift card?" YES REALLY! :laugh:0 -

A gift card to Sephora is like the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow...0
