Ladies, we had a fun week 3, the extra long holiday may have put some of us behind a bit, but we all made great efforts and I am seeing great progress!

Thanks goes out to Twijourney for providing some ideas for our fourth week of our summer challenge.

Here goes:

In New Moon, when Edward leaves, Bella was 'out of it' for four long months. She felt like a zombie. Later, when she feels a little better, Bella begins to hang out with Jacob. When Bella and Jake joke around about their 'real' ages while working on the motorcycles, Bella is 35 and Jacob is 32. We are applying those numbers in this week's challenge.

 4 sets of 32 crunches so we can get abs like Jacob's (okay, it will take a bit more to get his abs, but we gotta start somewhere, right?)

 4 sets of 35 bicep curls to make sure we can easily hang on to Jacob's neck when he carries us onto the mountain top before the newborn fight in Eclipse.

 Cardio: unlike Bella we will not be zombies this week. instead we will shoot for 5 days at 30 minutes per workout.

:drinker: 64 oz water (or 48 water and 16 qualifying decaf drink)

 Strive for Five: let's keep working on those veggies and fruits, the more of those we eat the fuller we will be!

Have a great week ladies, and please feel free to share those Twilight thoughts!

Thanks so much for keeping us on track, Yvonne!! You are Twi-rrific!!!:flowerforyou:

You know how much I need to exercise....150 minutes of cardio will keep me busy....especially coupled with crunches (which I hate:grumble: ) and bicep curls.

    Let's all have a fabulous Twi-week!

    Week 4 day 1

    Cardio 46/150 minutes. 1/5 days
    Water 48 water, 16 decaf
Strive for 5. Tomatoes, grapefruit, blueberries, onions, strawberries, peppers

No biceps or ab workouts today.

I finished reading Midnight Sun today. I really think this is my favorite of all SM's books. I sure hope she returns to it some day. It would be a nice little surprise if she would publish around the time BD2 comes out. Ko
KInd of like when she threw us the Bree Tanner bone!

I have Cox Communications for my cable network. I was running though the On Demand offerings and saw that there were 2 interviews with Twilight costars. They looked to run about 10 minutes each and were free. As soon as my boyfriend heads outa here for home tonight, this girl is grabbing the remote and checking these shows out! ( he is in football mode, so my tv is stuck on ESPN for the next few months).

So last week was rough for me, but I did good at least half of the week and I know I had my cardio done. Water most of the time, but none of the special exercise.

It's been difficult for me to get online via the pc to the boards in the evening and hitting it by my phone is a Pain in my *kitten* (much like the Volturi are in the Cullens *kitten*).

I'm going to try though to see if I can get back into the habit of making sure I note it in my exercise/food notes and then just log it the next day when I get to work.

    Week 4, Day 1
    Cardio - 0/150
    Food - 0/7
    Water - 0/7
    Crunches - 0
    Bicep Curls 0

    Cardio. 2 days of 5, 93/150 minutes
Strive for 5. Strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, tomatoes, carrots, onions, peppers
    Water. 64 H2O and 16 Decaf

So far I have not worked on my hulky neck hugging arm exercises or my Jacob's Nonflabby Abs.

A note, a song that always gives me great pleasure and goosebumps is My Love by Sia, aka the Eclipse proposal song. I added it to a new playlist on my iPod And it was wonderful to listen to on my walk tonight.

    Cardio. 3 days of 5, 140/150 minutes
Strive for 5. Strawberries, raspberries, tomatoes, carrots, corn, potatoes
    Water. 64 H2O and 16 Decaf

Still have not worked on my hulky neck hugging arm exercises or my Jacob's Nonflabby Abs.

I got a late start on my walk tonight, and my boyfriend was due at the house any moment. I was about 2 blocks from home when he rolls up and offers me a ride back to the house. I warned him, 'I'll stink up your car!' but he didnt seem to mind. A part of me wanted to walk the rest of the way, I guess that must mean I am addicted to exercising! I imagine there are worse things to be addicted to! But there's nothing better than being addicted to Twilight!

Hope everyone is doing well. I've got the week 5 challenge almost ready to post. Fun ahead, as we have a super special Twilight birthday coming up.

We have some very fortunate team members who are heading out for England this week. They will be sorely missed, but I hope they are very lucky and get a view of Mr.Pattinson, should he happen to be in his home country.

    Week 4 Summary

    Cardio - 275/150
    Crunches (4 x 32) - I only managed 2 sets - lazy, I know!
    Bicep Curls (4 x 35) - 3 sets - more laziness
    Water - 7/7
Calories - Banked 220 for the week

Though I didn't get my crunches/curls in, I did manage a lot more exercise overall than I've been getting lately and I was under calories for the week. I'm gonna call that a win!

I picked up reading Eclipse for a little while today. It's the tent scene and since I am always thinking about food these days, this quote seems appropriate:

"Do you think you could attempt to control your thoughts?" - Edward Cullen

    Week 4 Summary

    Cardio -- 294/150 minutes, for 5/5 days
    Water -- 64 water, 7/7
Strive for 5 – raisins, dates, celery, carrots, grapes, apple, green peppers (in hamburger gravy) and salad veggies.6/7
Bank account of calories -- Overdrawn by 401 calories for this week, but since I saved calories for Monday’s splurge, I don’t feel bad at all.

sets of crunches for those 8-pack abs -- Jake's age 32 reps/10 sets. How come I don’t have an 8 pack yet?
no sets of bicep curls today for holding onto Jake's neck or grabbing Edward before he steps into the sun in Italy. – total still stands at 4 sets of Bella's relative age (35).

Twilight – Getting ready to leave to visit Carlisle’s hometown.
Yvonne, I’m probably more likely to see Mr. Pattinson at home in L.A. than I ever would in London. More’s the pity.
